Guest guest
Hi & , I had quite a few NAET treatments before I was diagnosed with LD in 2000. Because they were performed by a chiropractor, they were even covered by my insurance. But because they were so time consuming, once I started lyme treatment I stopped the NAET treatments. A few of them did not last (even after several treatments), but enough of them lasted to make my life much simpler. In the meantime, there is now much higher awareness of food allergies, and many more foods available in some restaurants and supermarkets. You still have to read the labels very carefully, however. There are many gluten-free products that are not free of soy, dairy, corn, or they're made with white-rice flour and plenty of sugar or the new favorite, agave, which we avoid as much as possible. I love the magazine " LIVING WITHOUT " , and occasionally search for recipes on their website. And here in Michigan we have the Tri-County Celiac Support Group, which we attend very occasionally. I believe there are also a couple of national celiac organizations which have good websites, as well. Dr. Brownstein (drbrownstein.com) has written books about gluten, dairy and soy--I found his book on gluten very helpful, but haven't read the other two. But apparently I can eat rice, quinoa, veg, meat, potatoes. I also do not have functioning adrenal glands just as an aside. > > > > I did a stint of juicing which of course made me lose more weight and screwed up my GI terrain and bacteria which precipitated a couple of wowza infections; the last which landed me in the hospital for a few days last week...so more weight loss. > > > > I am going to look into an NAET practitioner which I know has found to be of great help in treating clearing allergies. Guest guest
Hi Khaya, Often with food allergies, there are one or two Kingpins that once cleared will cause your allergic reactions to calm down and even clear up. For me, Gluten was the Allergy that was triggering so many other food allergies, because it was stressing my immune system. Yes some of the allergies may take a lot of work to finally clear. For me, Plastics, Ammonia and Hydrocarbons and fuels, were allergies that would continue to return until I resolved the emotional issues surrounding the reaction and did a lot of detoxing of plastics and Hydrocarbons with Glutathione in my Coffee Enemas. Clearing Borrelia, together with Ammonia and Quinolinic Acid virtually took away the nerve pain that I had suffered from, removed joint inflammation and also calmed the hyper allergic response. Most of my food allergies however, with the exception of Gluten which I believe is beyond allergy but actually an intolerance, cleared provided I was careful to rotate my foods and avoid the big triggers such as Gluten and Dairy. I avoid Soy because it is GMO and not good for hypothyroid problems. The other very important factor in keeping allergies clear is to clear up the leaky gut using things like Glutamine, Rhizinate, digestive enzymes, probiotics and HCL/Betaine and address any parasites, fungal overgrowth or bacterial infections in the gut. I also believe that it is important to do a homeopathic of the substance that is being cleared after the 24 hour avoidance period. The Homeopathics rally the immune system to accept the allergen long term. I also believe that you need to do a lot of emotional work when clearing allergies and most practitioners do not have the time to go deep enough into the emotional issues surrounding an allergen. For example, I had a huge emotional issue with sugar and had a strong emotional allergy to sugar causing hypoglycemia all of my life. It took 11 treatments on sugar for the treatment to finally hold at which point no more hypoglycemia. I also believe that some things need to be done in combination. In my case, Insulin and Sugar needed to be cleared together. I had a lot of emotional issues surrounding sugar that came from my childhood, that I won't go into, but when I addressed the emotional issues surrounding the allergy, the allergy cleared never to return. It could be that some of the things that did not clear for you, needed many treatments and addressing some emotional issues surrounding the allergies and perhaps a homeopathic of the allergen may have caused the treatment to hold better. Deseret Homeopathics makes homeopathics for NAET treatments, so if you ever go back to your practitioner for another clearing request that she order the homeopathic to go with your treatment. I also often make my own homeopathics of the allergen as I have a homeopathic remedy maker and potentizer. Even if you lost your clearing on a few things, you can always re-clear them with the laser pen. I think the more that you message your immune system how to behave, the quicker it will learn to normalize and quit being hyper-reactive. NAET is a bit of a band aid approach, I realize as there is a reason that a persons immune system goes so haywire and that really needs to be addressed as well, however, it gave me my life back as I was again able to eat and take a few supplements that would have previously sent me over the edge. Lyme also plays a huge role in causing allergic response to things so it is of highest priority to reduce the load stressing the immune system. Dr Klinghardt once said that Lyme actually does something to the brain, making people more susceptible to allergies. > > > > > > Hi All: > > > > > > I would like any advice you have on how to gain weight while being allergic to many things. Guest guest
Thank you , you have given me a lot to think about! I gave up working on my allergies and emotional issues quite a while back, so that I could focus on treating LD. If I live long enough, I will be able to shift my focus again! I believe I was exposed to LD in my late 20's, but it is possible that it was earlier. At any rate, I'm pretty sure I was born with candida, since I had severe food allergies as an infant (as well as pollens, dust, mold and pet dander). As soon as my asthma was resolved (after my father returned from The War), the foods were added back in and the eczema returned, but since that was not life-threatening, no one really worried about it (just slathered on ointment & kept up the shots for " hay fever " ). It wasn't until after I began seeing Dr. Brownstein, in the late '90's, that the allergies were again diagnosed. I don't believe they ever went away. I have been working on LD, viruses, funguses and parasites and have improved greatly, but I'm not done yet. But I have no problem avoiding foods I'm allergic to, and don't feel deprived at all. So my allergies are just not a priority right now, although they may be again at some point. My husband's allergies and food preferences are very similar, so it's not too complicated for us (he also was born with asthma, but he still has it). I will flag your email, for future reference. Thanks again, Khaya > > > > > > > > Hi All: > > > > > > > > I would like any advice you have on how to gain weight while being allergic to many things. Guest guest
Thanks--that sounds worth mentioning to my doctor! : ) > > > > > > > > > > Hi All: > > > > > > > > > > I would like any advice you have on how to gain weight while being allergic to many things.
