Guest guest
P.S. Don't expect anyone like a school district do this for you. They are a big part of your team, but you have to make this happen for your child. You can find good people in the most unexpected places. One of my best therapists was working in a shoe store. The other one was his private swimming instructor. When I saw how they interacted with my children, I got their phone numbers, trained them and after a short while both became an essential part of our team. We changed their lives also. The swim instructor now does this full time. She now works at Dr. Gutstein's school in Culver City. Sheri, Why would you continue with a therapist that is terrible? When no one knew how to work with my son at school, I hired someone for home, taught her what she needed to know and eventually got her hired by the school district. Remember you are your child's best advocate. Don't accept mediocre. Make them do what you need for your child. Marcia
