Guest guest
Jourdan is not doing well. We have gone back to the hospital, home again for a few days, and now it looks like she might be back in the hospital again tomorrow. We just can't make any headway with the secretion problem. She builds up these secretions, they start getting thick and gluey, then her oxygen saturations go down and it's back to the hospital. The doctors are putting her on lasix and then taking her off. Too much swelling for her heart when she's off, and when she's on the secretions dry out. Does anyone have any suggestions? We are using saline nose drops. She is under a tent for humidity whenever she is asleep. They are trying not to suction any more than needed to avoid swelling of the nasal and throat tissues. Is there something else we can try? The baby is just miserable. She seems to be struggling for breath all the time when she is awake. When she is sleeping, she seems to be most comfortable. Guest guest
Hi There Lynn My daughter was more in hospital than at home at that age with pnuemoia and one has to build up there immune system so that they don't conract everything. Old fashioned steaming worked and we got her onto beriglobin that built up her immune system. Milk also had an influence on the secretions so I put her onto soya products. Today she is 11 and I still give her a beriglobin injection so that we keep her immune system tough. Hang in there! Elna RSFARMS@... wrote: Jourdan is not doing well.
