Guest guest
My son is 8 and it is a different story from yours. He was diagnosed when he was 6 with Asperger's. 's new therapist suggested the protocol under Dr. Goldberg. I started the diet last July and was so impressed with 's progress in such a short time. I live in the south, but I flew to Dr. G's office and do not regret it. still has a long way to go, but has come so far with Dr. G's help. I am not rich and this was a commitment on my part to go this extreme, but I know with the right help will be able to contribute to society. Before, seemed like he was always in a fog and now he is improving. From: pudgeo9999 <pudgeo9999@...> Subject: New Here and appreciate any advise /help! Date: Saturday, February 21, 2009, 11:36 PM Hello, Sorry this may be long but I will try to keep it to the point! In Jan 07 my then 9 yr old son had a fever for 3 days and he has never been the same since. His immediate symptoms were spaciness and tingling in his arms. Basically his entire personality changed. He was a happy, vibrant kid who turned into a zombie. Kaiser(my HMO) diagnosed him with seizures and we spent 8 months trying every sz med possible and nothing helped. I decided to go to a DAN Dr to get to the root of the problem..and he had a PANDAS panel and it definitely showed HUGE immune system dysfunction. ..So Kaiser did 3 IVIG for me. I have tried numerous supplements, chelation, you name it I probably have tried it. Right now we are on azith, acyclovir to try to modulate his immune system. We saw a neuro at Stanford and he diagnosed him with " auto immune encephalitis " which i am still trying to research and figure out what exactly that means..Kaiser is convinced he had something viral that did this, but my gut tells me it was untreated strep..The Stanford Dr states in the report he should have had a lumbar punch but it's too late now... So why am I here? After 2 years he has hardly gotten better..he's still a zombie most of the time, he's totally regressed in school, he's lost that smile he used to always have. I would love to hear from anyone who has had a similar experience.. or anything suggestions. ..thanks! !
Guest guest
You may want to contact Dr. G's office. He's located in Tarzana, CA. I have three boys with neuroimmune dysfunction and they are improving under Dr. G's protocol. My middle son, Noah, who has mild/mod autism, also suffered from seizures, migraines and was diagnosed at UCLA with cyclical vomiting syndrome. After just a few months on the protocol, Noah stopped vomiting every month and his migraines went from about 6 a month to maybe one (and they're more like regular headaches, less like migraines). He is also seizure free, even though we've reduced his seizure meds by half. I really believe the HHV6 virus took up residence in his brain and caused all of these neurological symptoms. We have a long way to go, but we are definitely moving forward.
