Basic question about Immunovir

Hi all,

I have a very basic question about Immunovir.

What is Dr. Goldberg trying to do with the Immunovir? Does he wants to see an

increase in natural killer counts? More regulated lymphocyte activity? What

markers if any are improved by this medication?

Hi JR,

In my son's case, it's to increase the NK cell count. My son's has been very

low (hovering at around 2 or so) all along, despite his HHV6 count holding at

normal levels for the last two years.

My son's growth has also slowed very dramatically over the last two years;

despite all of the hormone tests coming back as normal, his bone-age is 3

standard deviations below the norm and he has fallen off the percentile charts

for his age. Dr. G thinks improving his NK cells may be (at least part of) the

answer to turning his growth around.
