She is wondering how to treat being that she is pregnant. If anyone has any

information with respect to (1) whether antibiotics are indicated for infection

in 2nd trimester and if so, which ones (2) if there is likelihood of passing it

to the baby (3) if there are any herbs safe for mother and baby alternatively.

Thanks fo much.

Hi ,I'm so sorry this happened to your friend.I'm not sure how doxycycline works with pregnancy, although it certainly is right for acute (recently bitten) Lyme. I'm sure there will be many responses here, as there are many knowledgeable Lymies, but you might also want to ask over at http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/lymestrategies/?yguid=408502367Their predominant protocol is the sea salt & C combination, which has helped so many (including me) get our lives back. They also, like this group, entertain all sorts of other, off-topic protocols, as every case is different and what works for one, may not be right for another. In your friend's case, the more options the better.Be well,Léna She is wondering how to treat being that she is pregnant. Hi -- Sorry for your friend's tick bite. You can google Dr. J, Connecticut pediatric doc (I hope that follows this group's rules with reference to doctors, and hope you know the doc I am referring to)--his office frequently answers calls with exactly this question, and they give good answers. Good luck, na To: Lyme_and_Rife Sent: Tuesday, April 3, 2012 9:27 PM Subject: Friend-age 25 in second trimester who was bitten two weeks ago w/bull's eye rash
