Guest guest
I just wanted to provide all of you with an exciting update regarding the pro bono project I am currently working on. I'm an attorney working on a volunteer project to help families get Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) recognized and reimbursed by Medicaid and private insurance carriers for children with cerebral palsy, brain injury, and other similar diagnoses. I have had a tremendous offering of support from other volunteer attorneys and as a result, we are now exploring a federal class action to attempt to compel payment for HBOT for all class members (whether it will be the first time treating with HBOT or reimbursing those who have already incurred HBOT bills in the past). Our first step will be to establish a class. We are currently looking for as many class members as possible, and now potential members no longer need to be limited to just NJ & PA, they can be from any state! Since this is a pro bono (volunteer) project, there will be no legal fees or cost to any of the class members. Also it will not require any time commitment or active participation from class members—we will be doing all the leg work for you! Together I hope to mount a significant legal challenge that will facilitate an unprecedented change in the reimbursement and national recognition and acceptance of HBOT. If anyone with a child with cerebral palsy, brain injury, or other similar diagnoses is interested in becoming a class member please call the HBOT class action hotline toll free 1-800-690-4033 to speak with my assistant to see if you qualify to be a class member. We are looking to help as many families as possible, and look forward to assisting you! Guest guest
I'm not clear - are we going to acknowledge that apraxia is indeed a brain injury? Are they going to require SPEC brain scans to prove the injury? I did HBOT with my apraxic boy - would like to do more but it's time consuming and expensive.
