Guest guest
Hi, Does he complain of pain, or if you were to press on his abdomen where his stomach is, is it sore? Has there been any vomiting? I had a gastritis attack when I was on nizoral - but there were other meds too that could have triggered it, and I wasn't able to eat because it was painful going down and I would throw up if I did eat. It was quite painful. If it is 'inflamed', it will hurt to press. If it is inflamed, 1/4 of a tsp of dye-free liquid benedryl (not chased immediately by water if you can) would relieve pain in about 15 minutes, and in half an hour, he would be able to eat and likely keep it down. Most likely you're just having die-off, especially since you have seen it before. But this is a harmless test and may catch a rare few people who might have some stomach inflammation. It has been misdiagnosed as heartburn for several people I've met since I had gastritis, so I suspect it may be more common than we realize. It's also relatively easy to get rid of with allergy medicine and avoiding triggers. My son has been on nizoral 4 days now & today has been a real bad day starting from waking up at 4am. He's very uncoopeative, screaming & crying again, just being miserable etc etc. But the main one that's concerning us is that he's refusing to eat at all. Is this part of a die off?? had anyone seen this with their child? He even refused to eat his favorite things too. He says he's hungry and when we bring out food, he refuses and runs away. My son is usually a big eater! We've seen this with the anti-viral also, in the beginning. Please share if you had seen this also w/your child????? Also is this about the time that people see die off start (around 4 days later?) thanks for your help. God bless
Guest guest
Thanks for your respond . Joab is not vomiting. He's not very verbal either so he can't tell us where he hurts most of the time. Screaming is his way & we have to guess to see where it hurts. I'll try to press around his tummy and see if it's painful. thanks so much again for the quick response. God bless! Guest guest
Yes I had the same thing...it's like they are sick. My daughter had her die off a little bit later, though. But your son may have some bad yeast, I'm thinking. My daughters lasted up to the 19th day, though. Guest guest
I wanted to chime in on your question because I had a bad anti-fungal die-off on the 4th day of meds (Nizoral and Nystatin). I called the Enviro Dr that prescribed and he said Day 4 is the day you're going to have a reaction. (I was vomiting and shaking. I discont. the meds for a month. It took about 3-4 days for me to feel normal. After a month, I took again cutting the dose in half and drinking lots and lots of water and sodium bicarb. I researched the problem a lot and I think it comes from having a large amount of candida and a limited capacity to detox. The dr. didn't do a test for either of these things which I don't think was such a good idea.) Anyway that was my experience and the doctor did seem well aware that day 4 is Die-off day in a big way. > > Hi all, > I just wanted to check with everyone what kind of symptoms people have seen with their child as they go thru a die off with antifungals?
