Guest guest
lie I'm glad to see you're back. It's hard keeping up with all the posts, but it sure is worth it. My daughter has feet similar to what you described. We didn't realize she needed orthotics, because no one ever referred us to the right people. Her school PT never said anything (their job is to look at the child from an educational standpoint) and it never occurred to us to get private PT. A PT and a physiatrist at a children's therapy hospital both ordered orthotics which had immediate improvement. Though she's still not walking appropriate for her age, she finally, after 3 years (she started walking at 22 mos.) of making no progress, she's now making progress. Her feet are closer together than in the classic CHARGE wide gait, and her feet don't roll in at the ankles. Her toes are odd, and a toe positioner holds them in place.
