Guest guest
Hi , My husband and I both used to have " pink eye " (conjunctivitis) quite frequently, and I later learned that this is quite common for LD patients. Our doctor usually prescribed prescription eye drops and they seemed to work. But now that we've been diagnosed and treated for LD, neither one of us has had pink eye in quite a while. I'm not sure if pink eye is what you're describing, but it's certainly messy and uncomfortable. Often it is associated with other flu-like symptoms. Sorry I did nto try anythign yet so I cannot be of more help Kindly Marie Show ImagesOptions Hello ,95% better!!! Wow..and how many years did it take of your hard work to get there? I am only in the first year of eradication and though I am so grateful to have lost big symptoms I still have a ways to go. My critters, no matter if what remains is so much fewer ..still they keep on ticking, manageing to rear their ugly heads as they do their cycles, have a poop fests, do their mating dances or whatever they do, though possibly not as intense as in the past. I'm sure with what you have that the stomach will resettle itself soon. Your treatment plan for it will be helpful for others with similar problem, also. The "acid" reflux had left me many years ago, but the reflux had continued most everytime I ate.. Yes, that too was weird. Oh, you bet, I will keep vigilant once no more of the frequencies call for coiling. And..for sure the coiling journey is tedious and it takes a lot of self talk to stay the course, day after, day after day and it is most tempting to take a holiday away from it. I will keep your words of experience in my ears and keep on plugging. Thanks.louise>> Hey Guys,> > I don't know if I am alone in feeling this way, but my eyes hurt so incredibly bad. Guest guest
Hi again, I don't know what type of Rife machine you are using (you've probably mentioned in the past). With my GB4000 there are several programs for eyes, including several for conjunctivitis. I do not put the handles over my eyes--I hold them on my temples. Guest guest
Hi Marie, You're right--the eyes drain into the nose and the infection can back up into the sinuses (and i suppose a sinus infection can back up into the eyes, as well). It's a good idea with any infection to use a neti pot, or some other method to wash out the nose. Before I had a neti pot, I used to put a little warm salt water in my hand (sometimes with a tincture like lomatium & /or olive leaf), bend over, and sniff it up into my sinuses. A neti pot is also a good way to wash pollens out of the nasal passages. Khaya > > > > Hey Guys, > > > > I don't know if I am alone in feeling this way, but my eyes hurt so incredibly bad. Guest guest
You might want to check out this group:http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/uveitis_patients_helping_patients/They have a more conventional approach that most Lymies like me, however. I've had several bouts of uveitis, which I first treated with abx and now, after my Lyme dx, simply (and more effectively) use CS drops with either MSM or DMSO added (with my ophthamologist's blessing)Be well,Léna Hey Guys, I don't know if I am alone in feeling this way, but my eyes hurt so incredibly bad. I have intense pain / feeling of pressure behind my left eye. In an attempt to cope with this pressure, I find myself tugging and pulling at my eye. When I do this, sometiems I do feel a release of pressure. It feels like there was som pocket of gunk or ooze (gross words cause it feels gross) that has its membrane break and ooze / slide away from my eye towards my nose. I had this same thing for the 10 months I was symptomatic prior to being treated. Once I was given antibiotic treatment, the pain went away. After 10 months on antibiotics, first with amazing success, then a relapse followed by very little success, I decided to stop taking pharmacutical antibiotics. Since then I have opted for herbal medicine from a chinese herbalist specialist who treats lyme. But now my eyes are bad again.
Guest guest
Update, I saw my herbalist and he has me on another batch of herbs to treat the lyme. I asked him if there was anythign I could do to address the eye pain / sinus issue and he suggested that I use Olive Leaf Extract spray. I did this, and let me tell you, that stuff really did something. Immediately it felt like a fight was taking place behind my eye and in my sinuses. I've been sick for a long time and no one (until a few days ago) has done any testing for an eye / sinus infection. How likely is it that something like that could be going on? > > Hey Guys, > > I don't know if I am alone in feeling this way, but my eyes hurt so > incredibly bad. Guest guest
hi,haven't been following this thread but do have a question for anyone. the area around my eyes have been pinkish for as long as i can remember.  never could wear that pink shadow, as it added to the color.  in '94 they started being irritated, sandy, itchy, burning, dry causing constant blinking.  couldn't wear make up.  blapheritis - inflammation and congestion in the area of the lashes is what dr said.  the oil ducts don't work and get clogged.  then another said allergies.  eye drs. can push on the lids by the glands and push out yukky fluid.  dr said to lightly rub the lash area with cotton balls with baby shampoo (no tears) to break up the clogged glands. i do that during the day when they are bad and then rinse with water or just rinse with water which helps. i was wondering if anyone else has this problem.  i often wonder if it has something to do with toxins coming out. when i get a massage i have trouble with blurry vision for a while and found out that can be toxin release. rinsing with water seems to clear it out. any ideas?  Colloidal Silver  L  what are CS drops? Guest guest
,I agree that MMS is great for sinus infections and Nutremedix Banderol is also another that works really really well.Banderol also fights lyme. Its become one of my always have in stock remedies.I have done extremely well with banderol ,sometimes also using cumanda or enula along with it.The best price for these that I have found is myherbs.net Re: Eye Problems Posted by: "jimjax2" jimjax2@... jimjax2 Date: Fri Apr 27, 2012 11:27 pm ((PDT))Hi ,If you have a sinus issue going on, MMS works very well on clearing these up...Just follow the simple instructions in this link:http://jimhumble.biz/17-nose-sinus-bronchical.htmlTake care,Jim>> Update,> > I saw my herbalist and he has me on another batch of herbs to treat the lyme. Guest guest
Barbara, I have the same problem BIG TIME for years & years. I can't tell you how many eye doctors I have gone to for just that 1 problem. Always the same answer--soak them for 5 minutes & use baby shampoo. Well baby shampoo burns my eyes. What I do is I soak them in the morning & then around 3:30 because that's when the burning really gets bad. I just dab some soap on a washcloth & rub over the lids & then rinse. Then I usually put in eye drops. I buy Refresh Plus because they have no preservatives. I have to use eye drops all day long but the only thing that really helps is the soaking. But after I do that, I usually end up getting an eyelash in my eyes because I rubbed the lids. Do you get alot of white eyelashes in your eyes? Almost daily, I get one stuck & can only see it if I look in my lighted mirror. Then I have to use the eye wash to try & get it out but mostly it doesn't. It just keeps bothering me when I blink. Oh, it's a real picnic. I also get little pimples on the inside of the lids that are another weekly chore to get rid of. One of my eye doctors used to constantly urge me to go on doxycycline for what he always called inflammation. I never did but I did use Restasis because another eye dr told me to use that. I used it for 8 months & it never helped, it only made my eyes burn more. What I am going to try is colloidal silver drops if I can get the nerve to put them in my eyes. I think Lena said she uses them in her eyes. It's supposed to burn (just what I need). I'm wondering if the worse burning goes away or will it keep burning forever. I'm afraid but I guess I'm going to have to try it or I'll never find out if it helps. I'll keep you posted when I try it. Guest guest
I've also simply rubbed virgin coconut oil (VCO) into my eyelids and lashes, as it is very soothing, probably loosens whatever nonsense is going on in the lids (you know everyone has little parasites in the follicles of eyelashes, don't you?) I do it last hing at night, because it makes an oily film on the eye that blurs vision, but my eyes sure feel refreshed in the morning. Read about VCO. It's amazing how beneficial it is, both topically and internally.Be well,Léna hi,haven't been following this thread but do have a question for anyone. the area around my eyes have been pinkish for as long as i can remember. never could wear that pink shadow, as it added to the color. in '94 they started being irritated, sandy, itchy, burning, dry causing constant blinking. couldn't wear make up. blapheritis - inflammation and congestion in the area of the lashes is what dr said. the oil ducts don't work and get clogged. then another said allergies. eye drs. can push on the lids by the glands and push out yukky fluid. dr said to lightly rub the lash area with cotton balls with baby shampoo (no tears) to break up the clogged glands. i do that during the day when they are bad and then rinse with water or just rinse with water which helps. i was wondering if anyone else has this problem. i often wonder if it has something to do with toxins coming out. when i get a massage i have trouble with blurry vision for a while and found out that can be toxin release. rinsing with water seems to clear it out. any ideas? Colloidal Silver L what are CS drops? Subject: Re: Eye ProblemsTo: Lyme_and_Rife Date: Thursday, April 26, 2012, 6:42 PM Update,I saw my herbalist and he has me on another batch of herbs to treat the lyme. I asked him if there was anythign I could do to address the eye pain / sinus issue and he suggested that I use Olive Leaf Extract spray. I did this, and let me tell you, that stuff really did something. Immediately it felt like a fight was taking place behind my eye and in my sinuses.I've been sick for a long time and no one (until a few days ago) has done any testing for an eye / sinus infection. How likely is it that something like that could be going on?> > Hey Guys,> > I don't know if I am alone in feeling this way, but my eyes hurt so > incredibly bad. Guest guest
Hi Susie,CS doesn't sting any more than plain saline, or OTC eye drops, and it's just momentary. When augmented with MSM or DMSO, the sting lasts a couple seconds longer, but once I realized the relief it would bring, the sting was of no consequence. Also, long before I actually put in drops, I was wiping my lids with CS because of some nearby psoriasis that I thought might be contributing. Some people's eyes/lids are tigers and tolerate less, just as some people can never deal with contact lenses. (I tolerated them, but think they later contributed to Lyme dry-eye and haven't used them in decades.) Each person must judge what's personally tolerable, I guess.Be well,Léna Barbara, I have the same problem BIG TIME for years & years. Guest guest
Lena, I didn't know DMSO could be put in the eyes. I also didn't know MSM came in a liquid. What do you suggest daily, 1 drop of CS and 1 drop of DMSO or MSM? Do you get the MSM online? Thanks for the advice & tips. Now I won't be so afraid to try it. Guest guest
Susie,Further answering your questions:I daily put a few drops of my standard 'eye mix' (full bottle of CS to one (00) capsule's worth of MSM, dissolved) at night before retiring, and then if my eyes are stuck and hurt in the night, I do it as needed. If i did it a few times in the day, I might be helpful, but travel makes this less easy to remember. This seems to do, for me.I think MSM might be a less scary start for some people.(After all, that's what i first used as commercial drops that i bought online. I reasoned that while saline is a good vehicle, it can become contaminated, so most commercial eye-drops generally either use preservatives (not great) or warn the consumer to discard after a month.(costly) CS kills bacteria and lessens the chance of the drops becoming contaminated. Making my own cheaply, I don't mind discarding before the bottle is empty and making a new batch. I still only use the DMSO mix (full eye-dropper bottle of CS to 6 drops of DMSO) when I have uveiitis symptoms (eyeball tender and hurting to press, painful, aching, with red sclera (conjuntivitis). Then I want to get the CS into the eyeball STAT! DMSO can be very drying, and even though it hasn't had that effect in my eyes at the dilution I use, I notice it can dry my skin when I rub it into aches and pains unless it's immediately followed with aloe, or shea butter, or some other good emollient. That's why joining a DMSO group could be helpful: to learn how to use this great substance well.Be well,Léna Lena, I didn't know DMSO could be put in the eyes. Guest guest
lena,i just responded to susie on another thread re: her symptoms similar to mine.  i had said that i used to use an abx ointment but they don't like to continue it because of resistance.  but the ointment loosened the cakey stuff.  am excited about the coconut oil.  it will loosen the stuff, soften the dryness that always happens, and get any bugs there.  great!  thanks. barbara  Susie,Further answering your questions:I daily put a few drops of my standard 'eye mix' (full bottle of CS to one (00) capsule's worth of MSM, dissolved) at night before retiring, and then if my eyes are stuck and hurt in the night, I do it as needed.
