Guest guest
, I¹m resending this for the zillionth time... I sent it quite a few times yesterday and the day before and it didn¹t go through (so please forgive me if it shows up more times). This time I'm sending it without the links to see if they are causing it not to go through. DariFree is what Dr. G lets us use for one of our boys. As has already been mentioned, it is a potato based dairy substitute. You can go the the Vances Foods website to read about it. It comes as a powder that you mix with water... it¹s not incredible tasting, but it¹s not too bad (sort of like skim milk with a vanilla-ish flavoring)... you can also use it in cooking to substitute for creamer if you mix it double strength, which is a big help (so we can still make pumpkin pie)! The drawback is that it doesn¹t contain any protein... If you start using it regularly, you¹ll do yourself a favor by getting yourself the pitcher so you can give it a pump to stir it before you pour it each time... it settles and separates easily. They sell it on the Vance's website (it's the " mixer/server/pitcher " ). It's like the Pampered Chef juice mixing pitcher. I tried mixing it up in the blender once and got a totally different result... very strange texture... almost congealed. So don't do that! Anyway, DariFree has been a lifesaver for us. You can probably find it at Allergygrocer, too... look around on the internet for a decent price. By the way, we ordered the big box of powder at first but it was kind of a mess to deal with so now we order it by the case (6 cans to a case... each can makes 6 quarts). Caroline G. Guest guest
Thanks for being so persistent! I am going to try it and keep my fingers crossed. It's so hard to keep changing her diet. She is such a good sport about everything but I feel bad. At 01:05 PM 3/2/2009, you wrote: >, > >I¹m resending this for the zillionth time...
