Guest guest
Dear , I am so so sorry to hear about your situation . This is awfull . I am not in Virginia . Did you try the catholic churches around ? You do not need to beleive to go to ask for help. I am going to pray for you . What are yoru symptoms are you able to do somethign or are you too tyred to do anything ? this is because I have seen videos od a mother who changed a container into a house for her and her 3 children and I was admiring her ingeniosity but she was not sick .She found a container for free at a junk yard , transfered it into the countryside . put a camping water heater and other things like that . Since then she just owrk half time to stay more with her children . I have seen also a video how to build you house for 300 box bu tit need stamina energy as it consists in filling bags with durt and putting them one above an other . If you wish I may try to find this back for you .If you are tyred to be tyred like most of us it is not an option . there was also how to buid a house out of pallets. An other idea what botu getting to the hospital because you are sick and then they are not allowed to release you unless you have a place to go . this way they are stucked with you until you are healed ..or until you find some solution . I read this into the new they were saying that hey had people chronically sick like this in an hospital like this for years and that it would be cheaper to have them in a luxurious hotel instead . Please forgive me fo rmy poor ideas . Just know that I think of you pray and I am with you with all my heart . At present I am undermployed and lost my home last year due to the illness and unemployment.Since then, I've been asked to leave and have to be out by Monday. Is there anyone in Virginia Beach who can help me?The shelters are full, and you can get arrested for sleeping in your car. Social Services will not help you unless you are working at a job with a paystub, have a good credit rating, a history of paying your bills on time, and/or are an unwed mother, which I am not. Thanks,

Guest guest
Social services will help you, they are required to by law, someone gave you bad information .However ,Social services do not run the shelters usually. Most Cities have a city welfare program, check at your city offices/town hall.If you are in imminent danger of being on the streets they should help you .Most cities would put you up in a motel room ) until a space in shelter comes open. You also need to apply to whatever exists for public housing.Being homeless usually moves you to the top of the list.Another option, if you havent already done so is to file for disability through social services. You would also have to register at the employment office and go through the motions of filing applications , but that is social securities requirements to assist you, Another option, That is available soon would be buying a tent and living at a campground for a period of time.Sounds awful I know , especially for a sick person but it can be doneAlso by law you must be given 30 days notice if you have been a tenant anywhere for more than 90 days( doesnt matter if you have never paid rent,if you have lived in a dwelling for 90 days, you are a tenant at large. If you didnt receive 30 days notice you can go to the court and get a stop to the eviction.also bring the eviction notice into the court room or any of the social service options..If you get arrested for sleeping in your car, guess what, they have no option but to put you in a shelter. In other words the worst they can do is fine you , get you in front of a judge and you tell him your situation and he will order that they find shelter space for you and he will suspend the fine.Fight for yourself, you have to fight this.If there is no shelter space in your city, they have to call around to other towns and find a shelter with space. It may mean moving yourself to another place temporarily ,but that is how it works Also you might try going to the Catholic charity St De , or go to Salvation army offices.I wish I had a place in Virginia Beach for you .If your city gives you no help and you have it in writing( insist on it) you take this letter to St De and salvation army and they will likely help you.Call legal assistance and get a pro bono lawyer as soon as possible, but you can do all this without a lawyer janHello,Last year I was diagnosed with Lyme, and it turns out I've had it most of my life. Guest guest
Hi Jim, Yes, I've tried " charities. " They don't help. Will try the PIN ministry.
