Guest guest Posted April 28, 2012 Report Share Posted April 28, 2012 jodie,my husband has chronic diarrhea and when he had that food poisoning he took charcoal and didn't go for 3 days. i think it is the charcoal that is the problem. don't know much about the de. sounds like he is taking a lot of things. how about starting with a small amt of pectin or even gluc. but just one. the problem here is like we have treating more than one thing at a time, don't know what the herx if from. when did he start with binders?you might want to back off on all this and get him 'moving' again, then try to start again with only one kind. remember, being constipated is worse than not taking a binder. keep him moving, try one small amount--he's littler than us. if he handles it, increase by only small increments. but just choose one for a while. i am just working with the gluc, tried the pectin a couple times so not an authority on thisdoes he like the prune juice. apples ad carrots sometimes help. is that mmr as in vaccination? what is 'other shot lot'?let me know what you do. barbara Barbara, we have had severe constipation issues since Wyatt got the MMR(and other shot lot). It had gotten better.....but has gotten worse as of late. I am no stranger to this....it gets old....looking for new tricks and ideas. The enemas have always been great, but using them more lately as a means of detox. I am alternating the binders, charcoal and pectin and he takes DE.
