Dofetilide overdose and timing

Maybe I'm overreacting but I'm terrified of accidently taking an

extra dofetilide, yet I have such a crazed schedule I'll take a pill

when it's time -- actually I'll be thinking about it... " okay, it's

almost time " ... " okay, it's almost time... " etc... I'll be thinking

so much about taking it, and then I'll get distracted by a phone call

or some urgent matter and I'll notice that's it's an hour past my

pill time and now I can't recall if I've actually taken it or not

because I was thinking so damn much about it it almost seemed like I

took it. So I do things like turn the bottle upside down when I take

it and that seems to work well. I know just writing it on a

checklist would work but, well, I just haven't done that.

So, with that preamble, I have two questions:

(1) Am I correct that it's a pretty serious, potentially life-

threatening thing to accidently double-dose my 500 mcg capsule?

(2) I try to keep my pills to the minute but sometimes it's

impossible, especially when I travel to the east coast... it's a 6

hour or 5 hour time difference between there and my home, so I

normally take my pill at 8 in the evening but when I get to new york

that means I'd have to wait untill three or four AM to take it.

So I start adjusting, if I can several days before my trip, shifting

my pill by an hour or so, sometimes more, each day. I try to be

careful but it seems unavoidable at times.

Any comments? Does this seem too risky?

Thanks,

Jim
