Upto what age children can develop speech

Hi,

I have one basic query. Till what age we can keep hopes that our kids may

develop speech. Will it be possible for them to get verbal even after 10 years.

Though I asked this question several times in this group, I wanted to reconfirm

whether we can keep hopes on their speech or chances are less? My son is

undergoing therapy his comprehension is increasing, but speech part he is not

getting motivation to initiate. Your experiences and ideas are highly

appreciated.
