Hi Susie,I can only speak for myself: each has to blaze her own trail in this disease. If you read the labels of DMSO bottles, you'll recoil in horror. "industrial solvent, not for contact with skin, etc. etc". so if you're a nervous person run, don't walk to nearest exit. That said, there's a whole world of people who have found DMSO to have amazing properties for delivering other remedies transdermally and many who use it safely like me, in my eyes.(BTW, MSM is a close cousin to DMSO; one turns into the other in the body) They both help cells absorb nutrients and clear toxins. DMSO is great for bruising and athletic injuries, has been used for decades by people with RA and other joint inflammation, and many people take it internally, although the rumors of how much it makes the breath smell has kept me from doing that. Yahoo has a DMSO group that can teach you. Don't have the site addy handy.I don't know if MSM comes in liquid form; I think it might. I get mine in bulk powder and make my own caps. It's easy to dissolve in CS, so I just add the contents of one cap into the bottle of CS eye-drops. I shake it until dissolved. I think you can get MSM online, but I get mine at a Feed 'n' Seed in bulk for veterinary use, same grade as for human use and much cheaper. Again, probably not for the nervous, but then Lyme drives us to find economical answers, as supplements are always out of pocket. Marc Fett over at Lymestrategies, has mentioned a new adjunct protocol for the S & C protocol and I'm using it successfully:One mixes some MSM powder with CS, and holds it under the tongue, which delivers it directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the stomach. Apparently it's almost as effective as IV CS for fighting infection. The taste is nasty, so I open one of my MSM caps, drop CS into it, which liquifies the powder, recap the capsule, and then I pierce it with a pin and pop it under my tongue where it will start to dissolve. As long as I keep my tongue plastered to the roof of my mouth, my taste buds aren't offended and I can keep this exposure for 15-30 minutes which is a very effective treatment time. Then I swallow and chase with some juice to banish the taste. It seems to be a great way to fight any offending pathogens in the system, and has helped me stay feeling good in my demanding travels. I'm considering what other things could be delivered this way: under the tongue, and bouncing it off Marc.Well, I told you I was a Lymie lab-rat!Be well,Léna Lena, I didn't know DMSO could be put in the eyes. I also didn't know MSM came in a liquid. What do you suggest daily, 1 drop of CS and 1 drop of DMSO or MSM? Do you get the MSM online? Thanks for the advice & tips. Now I won't be so afraid to try it. Susie > > > > > > > > Hey Guys, > > > > > > > > I don't know if I am alone in feeling this way, but my eyes > hurt so > > > > incredibly bad. hi susie,i also found soaking them is a big help.  if i can push on the edges of the lids and open up the glands, pushing stuff out, then rinse, is the best.  also, very warm soaked wash cloth helps relieve the inflammation and pulls out any infection.

i used to use an abx ointment at night and that really helped.  my eyes were very dry and a crusty feeling, so the ointment on them all night softened it and the abx helped.  but after a while i had trouble getting it because they said they have few eye abx that worked and they didn't want resistance to build up to the few they had.

haven't noticed any white lashes, but i have noticed less lashes overall.  i gave up make up in '97 as it just wasn't worth it.  mascara went all over when i had to rub them or rinse then throughout the day.  so now i'm just 'plain' me, but more comfortable.

i'v not used any eye drops in many , many yrs.  don't really trust them.  i would be very interested in the cs  if it is safe.  i have heard it is.  there must be some infection if the glands are clogged and then weep cloudy fluid.  and i don't believe resistance can happen to cs.

if you learn more of cs in the eyes would love to know.barbara
