Guest guest
Mold sensitivities can certainly be tough, and there's not enough really good research on remediation. That said, some products we have found to be really helpful: 1) Frigi-Fresh does an amazing job. Pressurized spray designed for air conditioners (home, auto, hotel room), but could be pressed into service in other areas. Order from local auto dealer or online. 2) HydrOxi Pro Concentrate for cleaning. Order online. 3) Ozone Generator (must be run for hours without people or pets around to penetrate deeply) - may not provide complete solution, but can penetrate anything that is gas permeable, like furniture. e.g.: http://www.maxblasterusa.com/id47.html 4) Air cleaners with both HEPA filters and UV lights (most are followed by carbon filter to absorb ozone). Hope this helps... Corey Just sunlight by itself will not kill mold thats in fabric. You have to get products to kill alll spores.I am in process of moving out of a mold infected home and will be getting my couch etc fully cleaned and then probably using something like theives oil in the room the furniture is being stored in until we make sure its mold free.I wont be terribly happy if I have to get rid of furniture I just finished paying for.It would be seriously not okay to have wasted that money and I did not have renters insurance.Home depot sells a product called mold shell or something like that and Marie mentioned a product online , then theives oil is supposed to be a good option. For clothing you would have to wash several times in very hot water and you still might not get it all out But you can try.If you have homeowners insurance it should cover the cost of either cleaning or replacing clothing lost as well as the cost of remediation ..
