Guest guest
Caroline Yes the news is a new Bio marker for CFS (Autism?). Dr K and her partner Dr anne Flecher discovered a neuropeptide specific to CFS and hopefully Autism they call neuropeptideY. I asked her if this was purely Diagnostic in value and she responded that the test they developed can define the degree of severity of CFS excluding other deceases or conditions so it can be used to determine the actual effectiveness of various therapies. Additionally it has potential to be the bases of possible new therapies. Very exciting, she will confirm that it is a biomarker for Autism in coming months. Hopefully this will be a useful tool in ID ing the underlying mechanisms. You can watch for the research to be delivered by Dr anne Flecher at next months Nevada conference. Very Cool!
