Today we went to 's regular Dr who knows some DAN. I had sent her Dr G's

presentation she said she didnt get it. I did take her copies of articles, the

lab work up and we talked about it alittle. She discouraged me from going to see

Dr G b/c I have tried so many different things( GFCF, NEAT DAN YASKO) and I had

only seen small improvements. She thought it would waste time. She felt I should

focus on his slient seizures. He has only been on one med and again only small

gains. She felt she could also order the same meds he does. Do you think a

regular Dr could order the meds ad manage them as DrG would? Is there a certain

order or just based on the labs?

Although there are no guarantees that any treatment one undergoes will be

effective, my advice would be to see Dr. Goldberg. My three sons and I are all

on the protocol and the gains we're seeing are wonderful. My oldest has

Asperger's and he is now a 4.0 student. My middle son is mild/moderate autism

and he had significant medical problems before starting with Dr. G: seizures,

migraines, cyclical vomiting syndrome (threw up for about a week out of every

month with migraines before and after each episode). About four months into the

protocol, the cyclical vomiting was gone (UCLA told me it was likely permanent)

and the migraines came only once or twice a month. Now he only gets them every

couple of months. He's also started to read and is doing pretty well in school.

My youngest was on his way to a diagnosis of ADHD (or worse). Although he still

has moments of impulsivity, he has really shined this year in his kindergarten

class and the improvements in

his behavior are remarkable.

The care Dr. Goldberg gives our kids is wonderful. He sees them once per month

and we send weekly updates. He also notices subtleties in lab work that have

been ignored or dismissed by other physicians.

Again, there are no guarantees and this is just one mom's opinion.

Good luck,

Robyn
