Karla, what does your son's dumping look like? Is it just urination issues?

When My son is going through a dump, his urine is cloudy and has some crystals

in it (when we started potty training, the bottom of the potty seat would be

coated in a layer of crystals). His BMs are vey sandy with black specks and is

painful to clean. That lasts about a week and he's understandably " cranky " . He

also develops a rash on his back, legs, and somtimes face that look like

blackheads. Doesnt seem to cause any pain and goes away in a few days.

This sounds like high histamine, which can be caused by yeast, but can also be

caused by bacteria, worsened by seasonal allergies, and I suspect may be related

to oxalates. My son had REALLY frequent urination (like we couldn't leave the

house- he'd pee every few minutes, just a few drops, but with extreme urgency

and discomfort. NO UTI. That son doesn't have oxalate issues, but is very

sensitive to dietary histamine, and the problem is now completely gone from

addressing histamine (low histamine diet, then treating the underlying cause

with the GAPS diet). Vocal tics and obsessions are very " histamine " . Here's a

link with more about the diet:

> Argh. I swear, it's not one thing, it's 10 others. Now he has started peeing a

LOT. He pees in his pants sometimes (if he's in the car seat), on the floor,

especially in his room. He can hold it, and if I catch him, he can stop and go

to the toilet. But the main thing is, he's peeing very very often. Like every 20

- 40 minutes.

> He's also so hyper the last 2 weeks he can't even sit still long enough to

eat. The doc has given him a concoction of Poppy and something else I can't

remember this second. He's obsessing, he's biting his hand, but nothing else

(i.e. he doesn't have the chewies), he WILL NOT keep shoes or pants on, the

meltdowns have started up again, the vocal tics have started up again. I don't

know what's going on. And I'm pulling my hair out.

Oh my gosh sierra! Thank you so much for that post. I've just had the hugest aha

moment. My daughter has been having all these problems since the start of

allergy season. We'd taken her off Allegra over the winter b/c she doesn't have

any winter allergies. I just read the link you provided and I'm so glad I did.

We started her back on Allegra last week because her allergies were really

getting bad. Now I know we can remove some foods that could be causing her

trouble as well. Thanks so much for the post:)
