Guest guest
We're currently going thru his diet & had taken out the foods that Dr. G. thought are problems, not many though. He's on claritin also. Thanks for everyone's input. Yes, I do realize it takes time for some kids & we just have to pray & continue to have hope! God bless From: <jlhank80@...> Subject: Re: No gains with Famvir or Nizoral?? Date: Thursday, June 4, 2009, 11:52 AM What about allergies? What are you doing to address those? I saw the hugest gains in my daughter when fixed her diet and started allergy treatments on her. She did some gains on Valtrex and Diflucan, but we needed to address her allergies. I know allergies seem benign and harmless, but my daughter did not have a runny nose. She had tantrums, potty accidents, hyperactivity, facial tics, and excessive stimming. - > > > From: bekeleelizabeth <bekeleelizabeth@ ...> > Subject: No gains with Famvir or Nizoral?? > groups (DOT) com > Date: Wednesday, June 3, 2009, 1:10 AM > > > > > > > > > Hello group, > My son(10) had been on Famvir & nizoral for about 4mths. We've not seen any improvements/ gains so far. Everything is the same or may be worse in some areas. We were really expecting changes especially after starting nizoral. We're now thinking may be there's no yeast issue with our son??? Dr.G. wants to keep the nizoral but may be change famvir next time we talk. My son was on valtrex for 3mths when we were with a DAN doc last year & we didn't see results either. Not sure what he's going to switch us to next. > > I just wanted to ask if anyone had the same experience & what changes helped later??? about how long do you wait to see if any of these meds help?? > Thanks for any info. > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi, . Have you talked to Dr. G about switching antihistamines? We switched from Claritin to Zyrtec and that helped immensely. He was so grouchy and difficult.before the switch. Might be worth a try. Guest guest
, I see that everyone is offering the various scenarios that they have been through but what I have realized is we all have been through a wide range of variations and incremental changes in the protocol over time(Meds variation from Dr G and all of the therapies and diet efforts of each parent- every mom and dad was as instrumental as Dr G). I have seen some that the kid did not respond well but for the vast majority of the kids on this list, when we finally got all of the ducks in a row the results were nothing short of spectacular. Not all recovered but all saw substantial and measurable results. Like you, I woke every morning praying for any improvement or even just a better day. Now I wake every morning anxious to see what amazing things Connor will do today. I will come! I am three to four years in and expect two to three more trying years but when Connor step on my foot earlier and looked up and said " sorry " I knew the sarcifie was worth the years of effort! What we all have in common is we refuse to give up!! hang in there Bill ________________________________ From: Bekele <bekeleelizabeth@...> Sent: Thursday, June 4, 2009 1:25:59 PM Subject: Re: Re: No gains with Famvir or Nizoral?? Guest guest
Excellent advice, Bill! I had one such moment this afternoon with Noah. His expressive language seems to be frozen at requesting, but today he surprised me. My six year old was playing on some bleachers and fell. Noah ran up to him and said, " Elijah, are you ok? " I almost fell off the bleachers. Guest guest
Thank you guys for all the encouraging words. Bill, yes it's worth waiting like you said so we'll hang on!! My son actually went thru a sleep study yesterday so we'll see what the results show. We're trying to rule out for any seizure condition. I'll keep you posted. Thanks very much again. Guest guest
Que es celexa??? A: Fecha: jueves, 4 junio, 2009, 11:15 pm My daughter (5) was on Valtrex for 6 months with a DAN (including lots of supplements) , dr. G told me she must have made resistance to it because of the suplements, but any way we try for 4 more months adding fluconazole and suspending all the suplements. Little improvements After that, we change to Famvir, she is 2 months on Famvir and she did a big improve in speech and others; we also switched Paxil for Celexa, this also helped . So, be a little patience, be carefull with the updates, they are important to find the medicines that will fit with your son. > > I have found that it is super important to follow Dr. G's instructions > carefully.
