Guest guest
Hi again - here's something funny. just turned 8, and we had his birthday party. The party was an outdoor movie night, so we couldn't start it until 8:00pm. We had it the last weekend of school so we (gulp) invited all the boys in his inclusion classroom. They ALL came (15 first grade boys in our backyard - are we crazy - I think so). What was so nice to see was in with these kids, participating in whatever crazy games they made up with soccer and baseball equipment - and these kids excited to be there and happily including him (they didn't realize they were 'including' - to them, he was just in it like any other kid). About half way through the movie, they kids of drifted back to the swingset (also nice to see that most first grade boys can't sit through a whole movie - not just my kid). They got a litte loud (although it was only 9:30). So get this - the cops came. They said a neighbor complained about the noise. Too funny - the cop just kind of shrugged and asked that the kids keep it down. Even made the police blotter in the local paper. So, check that off the list - most of us had to wait until high school to have the cops show up at a party! Alaine
Guest guest
That is funny. I can't believe how some people are, is not like you would have parties like that every single night. That neighboor should just let the kids have fun. JR From: alaineandpaul@... Guest guest
What a wonderful experience for your son and you! The cops coming was an added bonus, LOL. It will make a great story for him to tell at school. All the best, Robyn From: <jrodrig6605@...> Subject: RE: Nice and funny story nids Date: Friday, July 24, 2009, 7:45 AM That is funny.
