The Low NK cell counts (CG4 and CD8) are very common among our kids. The purpose

of the immunovir is to normalize the counts. I have never seen or heard of the

rash issue. It may not be related.

Subject: Reaction to immunovir?

My son started Immunovir 8 days ago.

So far we observed a big rash over legs, tummy, bottom and lower back.

Rash is not new to him, it´s waxes and wanes all the time but worse in cold

season -as we in Southamerica are now-, but lately he had been rash free or so

low that with litle corticoid cream it would resolve in 48 hr the most. Also

with rash, behavior and mood got worse too.

Did you go through the same when started immunovir?

Do you think it´s a good sign?

Another issue:

My son recently -before immunovir- had tested very low CD4 and CD8, did you

experiment a improvement in those numbers by using immunovir? what else helped

you with that?

This may not be related but I have heard this kind of rash discussed frequently

on the MB12/Valtrex list. But not in relation to Immunovir.

To Valtrex.

Just a thought,

Eileen
