Guest guest
I need help! I need some information from any interpreters on the list: 's preK teacher insists on signing at the same time as her interpreter. In theory, this sounds wonderful...the problem is, she is not fluent, doesn't sign all the words, and sometimes is incorrect. She actually was teaching the children the sign for bull**** instead of brown...Does anyone have any research or experience that could tell me if it is confusing to try to watch two people sign at the same time!?????? This has turned into a mess. In my opinion, the teacher should stop signing in a large group situation. After all, that is why we have an interpreter for . is the only HI kid in the room... The teacher has turned this into a " control of her classroom " issue, saying she shouldn't have to stop just because of one student. I say it is an accomodation issue and she ahs to accomodate 's needs. So PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!! G
