Ellen, did they say why?

I've started taking 120 mg a day and have found it to give me a bit more

energy and my AF intensity and frequency has been reduced significantly.

There are many web sites on COQ10. Just go to Keyword COQ10 and check them

out. I don't see any problems with COQ10. Mind you, I only take 50 mg. per

day of atenolol and an aspirin.

The upside seems significantly better than any downside.

The bit more energy I get is not like a caffeine buzz. It's like I use to

feel before AF and when I was younger.

I just realized that it was when I started taking 75mg of CoQ10 that the

intensity of my afib bouts lessened greatly. Somehow I hadn't correlated the

two. I started taking it because I heard it was good for afib from a

alternative medicine standpoint.

I take CoQ10 both separately and also in a heart product.....

and am on warfarin.... I've never noticed any problem, if you just

start taking it a few days before your next blood test then you can adjust

the warfarin/coumadin if need be because the results will include

having the CoQ10 in your system. I take several things and don't

notice any different in my INR levels.

Best wishes,

Bill

Ellen, did they say why (to stay away from CoQ10)? Sandy

Re: COQ10

& Rich:

I was also told to stay away from COQ10 by both my GP and EP!

You know...I am ashamed to say I can't quite remember just why. I

do remember buying it and taking the bottle in to the EP, as well as

my Family Doctor. They were having so much trouble getting my blood

level between 2 and 3 - I think this may have been the reason.

I kept a Journal way back when, but when I checked it out, I had no

notes on it at all.

Sorry....I know this isn't much help.

Ellen, oh that's right, CoQ10 has been mentioned as possibly problematic for

those taking Coudmadin. I take 325mg enteric aspirin each day along with

Cardizem 240mg for the afib; I also take 60mg of CoQ10 TWICE DAILY (total

120mg/day) which I find reduces the severity of the extra beats I feel due to

MVP (mitral valve prolapse) and the PAC's which sometimes precede afib. Sandy
