Guest guest Posted August 14, 2011 Report Share Posted August 14, 2011 I told everyone I would let you know how the Savella was going and it is day 6 now. It is helping with the pain, making it more tolerable than it has been in months. I still need my pain pills though, the pain is too intense without them. Nausea and fatigue are the worst side effects. They had to put me on phenegran for the nausea. Night sweats and chills when I go to bed also. It killed my appetite for food, I ended up losing 15 lbs over 4 days. They also started me on a steroid 'blast' to try and get some of the inflammation down. It feels like all my joints are on fire, my skin is hot to the touch but I don't know what that is from. My jaw hurts too where the joint is. I'm just feeling very fatigued and weak all the time. I couldn't get out of bed the first couple days, I was so tired and the pills would just knock me out. But they say it is supposed to get better after the first few weeks. Even though it sucks, having even this much pain relief is better than how I was before. Its just hard with all of this and an eight month old daughter.
