Guest guest
I am so glad that you have found something that has worked for you. It is great to hear uplifing news!!!! I have been looking online at some of the Standard Process supplements.....although from what I can tell you have to have a chiropractor or someone like that get them for you. Does anyone know how you can get them online????? Beth supplements Hi again,Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you all. I was off work for a few days. My chiropractor did a computer test on me using some program called Bio Meridian. It tests all your organs to see what areas are in trouble. It is non invasive and just uses some electrodes hooked on your acupressure points (something like that). From those results the computer then makes suggestions as to what supplements I needed. She can use this program with any line of supplements but likes the Standard Process the best. Anyway, I am on Thymus, Cataplex A and I think B, Drenamin (adrenals), BetaFood (liver) and 2 digestive enzymes. She is my pastors wife so I thought I would try it. It has been six weeks now and I am a new person. I danced for 3 hours straight on New Years Eve and swam the next day! I usually have to lie down for a few days after the dances. I watercolor everyday now and my concentration amazes me. I am not even herxing as bad as I was so the sleep is better. This is truly a miracle. I have tried a million different products to get the energy levels up and this is the only thing that has worked. You can buy it online but it is better to see a professional I think.Other than that all is well. I keep going foward. I broke up with the boyfriend which was a good thing. It is better to be single right now and not burden anyone with my healing process. I can say that I finally have hope and a brain cell too!Happy New Year!Love, Joanne Never miss a thing. Guest guest
I did BioMeridian Stress Assessments a whole year before I realized it was my implants making me sick. My kinesiologist adjusted my suppliments by using the results of this test. It seemed I got better in some areas, and not in others. However because I still had my implants I was still going down hill especially in my muscles and joints. Then after my explant, this Dr. had gone to South Dakota. I haven't found another in my area that uses this type of testing. My kinesiologist also used Standard Process suppliments. joanne_321321 <joanne_321321@...> wrote: Hi again,Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you all. I was off work for a few days. Guest guest
Leonie, I take a multiple vit, potassium, vit d, B-12, and folic. I just started caltrate, which I believe is helping. I am wanting to add a few other ones, but just haven't been to the store. Tawny > > Hello again, > > Does anyone take nutritional supplements with their medication ? Guest guest
Both my wife and I take a multivitamin, vitamins b, c, e, calcium- 1200 mg. I also take a fiber cap, stool softener, and iron. Betty had her bloodwork results and has to quit taking one calcium tab, it's too much for her. I'm still dropping my Prednisone slowly. Guest guest
Leonie, Since we've chatted, you know I do. I take 2000mg/day of salmon oil, about 1500mg each of glucosamine/chondroitin/MSM, 1000mg of a calcium/magnesium/zinc blend and 1200mg. of ibuprofen a day (only with a large glass of milk or a meal to lower the risk of stomach problems). That's it so far. I have no other medications. I'm still weighing in the debate of DMARDs. Guest guest
Hi-  My name is Pat and I live in Minnesota in the twincities. I have been lurking for quite awhile.  I love  reading each post so I have them all deliverd.  I have had Arthritis since 86 and started on anti imflamitory drugs til I could get to the specialist.  Back then I was started out on Methotrexate pills. I don't remeber how many or anything but do rember that when the specialist I was seeing left . I asked My doctor for a refereal to another.   I went to see this doctor he was older and I didn't feel comfortable with what he was telling Me. I remeber seeing him but also remeber talking with his nurse and not being able to convice the nurse I needed to see the doctor on the phone. I rember not trusting her to know what I needed and she telling Me the doctor did not need to see Me. So I told My doctor and I ended doing some reasearch on where I could go. The doctor I had before was good but I would be seeing him out of My insurance coverage so I looked at the other doctor in that office and asked for a referral to him. I have been very pleased with his services thru the years I have been seeing him since I went back to that office.    I am on enbrel for My second time . I was on it for 6 months a number of years ago when I was on medicade for 6 months cause of the amount of medical bills I was facing. I was also off of it while having pneumonia last fall and had to wait until I was well before startring back on it. I have had a very good experience with it and hope it continues It was good the first time I was on it and continuesd to work and have had the best health I have had in awhile.   While on methoxrxate I had a number of Medical problems and was on and off it for many years. and went from pills to injections but could not afford to go on enbrel until medicare covered drugs and I had additional finacial help from foundations which My doctor helped Me find and get on.  I have a number of Medical Problems so My case tends to get complicated . I have rehemitoid psyorathic arthritis, gout, high blood pressure, diabetes.  I also have lost hairfrom Methotrexate  which is thin and baby fine to begin with. I have had a stroke and at one point had congestive heart faliure and had very low hemaglobin  at least twice.  I have been in the hosital for all these things as well as have been  in for 2 or 3 other times for infections that caused to My kidneys to shut down.   I will give you My entire list of Meds and vitamins that I take: ebrel50mg. SR CLK novolog 10units+sliding scale 2 times daily novolin 20 units 2 times daily asprin 325mg 1 daily amitriptylin 25mg 1 at bedtime carbamazepin (tegretol)200mg 2 daily lisinopril 20mg 1 daily   furosemide 40mg 1 daily metoprolol 50mg 1 daily allopurinol 300mg 1 daily keroconazole shampoo as needed indomrthacin 50mg up to 3 a day as needed for gout (not using right now) prop-n/apap100/650pink qua 1 every 6 hours as needed for pain (not using right now ) nystatin powder as need up to 3 times daily fish oil 100mg 1 daily folic acid 400mcg 1 daily (even though not on methotrxate) cranberry triple strength concentrate w/c 1 daily b6 100mg 1 daily c 500mg 1 daily chromium picolinate 200mcg 2 daily  I know it a long list but It seems to work for Me. I use to take E but decided that fish oil was better and replaced it.        Thanks,                               Pat [ ] Re: Supplements When I received my flu shot on Saturday, they gave me many free samples and coupons. Guest guest
Hi Pat & group ! I also lurk here.. Pat, what caused em to write back this post is one of the drugs you take. That is ' allopurinol 300mg 1 daily' I assume you are taking it for gout.? My husband gets kidney stones and has also had gout and was taking that drug for years. He was also on prednisone for over 10 years due to krohn's Disease....In 2003, he was dx'd with cirrhosis of the liver. I read up on all the drugs he was on at that time and he had already been off of prednisone for a few years, but was still taking allipurinol. I read it can cause cirrhosis and called his doc. He was taken off it and the other remedy was 4 ounces of lemon juice daily. He could take it anyway he wanted. . At that time the UW wanted him to have a liver transplant. Since taking the lemon juice, he has had no problems with the gout and the kidney stones have been rare. Please do not think I want to alarm you or anyone, but to inform you. The lemon juice also cleans the liver. I have RA and only take mainly supplements. I did prednisone for a few days a year ago. And sometimes I take a Naproxin. I take Flaxseed Oil, Fish Oil, Glucosimine, Zinc, Folic Acid, MSM, Vit D and other multiple vitamins. I rarely post as at times I feel I do not belong as I rarely have a flare and when I do, it is not bad. .Like others, I find that when I do milk products and pasta, etc., I ache... I feel so bad for you that are in such pain. I pray for you all. The new moms are special. I am 56 years old and have two adopted kids age 8 & age 3. My 8 yr old has brain damage from being shaken as an infant and Autism. My 3 yr old is typical and is always pulling my hands. My fingers hurt then. I know it must be painful not being able to cope with the pain. I long to swing my daughter, but I can't.. Thank you for reading my post.. Guest guest
, You do belong and have things to add. I enjoyed your post about your two children. How wonderful for them to have you! Honey, I pray things will improve for your 8 yr old. I just don't understand how people could harm children. There were times I thought I might lose it with my babies but my thoughts would have been to hurt myself and not them. How is your hubby's cirrhosis? Has his liver improved also? I will remember your family in my prayers also. Shirley > > Hi Pat & group ! > I also lurk here.. > Pat, what caused em to write back this post is one of the drugs you take.
