Caroline,

Is the Zovirax specifically for fighting HHV6? My son is taking Lamictal and

Keppra for his seizures and I found somewhere that lamictal (and depakene) is

also used for fighting the HHV6 virus. However, it only fights against HHV-6B

but not HHV-6A.

My child's neurologist and I are working on increasing the lamictal and

decreasing the Keppra since the Keppra is causing tics and aggression.

All the best,

Jill

My son is a patient of Dr. G . He weighs 48 lbs. and takes Zovirax (5

times

a day)... 400mg in the morning, 300mg three times in the middle of the day,

400mg at night. (This is another antiviral Dr. G. uses). (We split the

pills).
