Guest guest
I've heard Dr Johathon Write is good. He is I believe in pacific northwest. Lots of people like a guy in souther california but I can't remember his name. Dr Vleit has published some very informative material. She is in southwest. I went to a local compounding pharmacy and asked who was good there. I personally stayed completely away from any dr's connected with the Wiley protocol. I felt angry and manipulated just reading the book.I looked up all the Dr on Wiley's website that are part of the protocol and avoided them. This way I found a decent Dr.Hope this helps. Karima Hi there Can anyone please point me in the direction of a doctor who is skilled in bio-identical hormone replacement in America? Guest guest
I was on the Wiley Protocol for approximately a year. I have a new doctor who has me on an estradial/estriol combination cream and progesterone capsules. If you open the capsules they contain an oil.. I can take the cream OK but can't tolerate the capsules. Do you think this is because I overdosed on the Wiley progesterone. What can be done so that I can take progesterone again? Guest guest
Hi, That was me .. way overdosed on the topical progesterone cream. I was on 200mgs a day for four years. Because I was such in a constant "fog" I did not realize that it was that causing my problems. Anyway, after I finally got myself off the P, I could not tolerate (really) any form of P. I now have hormone pellets (Estradiol and Testosterone) so I do cycle Prometrium for 12 days a month. I do not take it orally (as it is prescribed.) I use it vaginally. Using it this way seems to minimize any side effects of the P. Best, Glo I was on the Wiley Protocol for approximately a year. Guest guest
Dr. Vliet is good. I paid for a phone consult with her but I'm not too sure about her experience with diagnostic testing such as ACTH Stimulation tests and other pituitary tests as such. - Hi there Can anyone please point me in the direction of a doctor who is skilled in bio-identical hormone replacement in America? Guest guest
In my experience, vaginal application of Prometrium is a HUGE dose. Much stronger than orally because it doesn't go through liver. I super overdosed on that. Now I use the tiniest of dabs vaginally 14 days per month. I can feel when I need to start and follow moon cycle. Lost control of my eye muscles on Prometrium. Was pretty funny trying to see for the first hour of each day. Everyone is different in their reaction. I don't know why anyone would take the P if they were still cycling. I had a tubal in my 20s and it reduced my estrogen somewhat, but P production was not compromised. I'm in menopause now so need a bit of P, but not much. The Dr's I see don't have much experience with hormones so I do my research and tell them what I need. They have been very cooperative to my surprise. But here in Canada there is no profit motive for them to try to convince me to take a certain protocol (not unless I went to one of the Wiley Dr's, and they do have them here).Karima Hi, That was me .. way overdosed on the topical progesterone cream.
