Guest guest
Thursday, March 22nd, 2012 Washington State presenter Dr. Sherman, Dean of the Psychophysiology Doctoral Program at the University of Natural Medicine in the USA and Director of the Behavioral Medicine Research Foundation, introduces psychophysiology, the study of interrelationships between the mind and the body. One popular technique used in applied psychophysiology is biofeedback. During biofeedback, a physiological system already identified as not working correctly is recorded. Levels and patterns of function are shown to the patient as they are made (in real time). The patient and any therapist can use this information to help correct abnormal patterns and levels of function. This permits both the person being recorded and any therapist to be instantly aware of (1) the level the system is functioning at and (2) changes in the system's level of functioning. This information can be used to increase the person's awareness of the system's functioning and/or to correct the level if it is not optimal for the given circumstances. The webinar recording is included in the price. Sincerely, Craig Education Assistant
