Also, according to my doctor, small amounts of medication from nasal inhalers can be absorbed systemically and cause problems for an afib sufferer, who may be more sensitive than most people. She said that even inhaled steroids such as Beconase can cause palpitation problems, especially if used excessively. However, I would say that an individual contemplating the use of nasal decongestants or steroids should check with his or her individual, real time doctor. Because I am not a doctor, I could have misinterpreted and could be wrong. Again I say that I think it is a poor and possibly dangerous idea to seek and act on medical advice from the Internet.
