Most nasal decongestants are very bad for afib as they contain

adrenaline like substances.

According to what my doctor has told me, you're right, Trudy. Also,

according to my doctor, small amounts of medication from nasal inhalers can

be absorbed systemically and cause problems for an afib sufferer, who may be

more sensitive than most people. She said that even inhaled steroids such

as Beconase can cause palpitation problems, especially if used excessively.

However, I would say that an individual contemplating the use of nasal

decongestants or steroids should check with his or her individual, real time

doctor. Because I am not a doctor, I could have misinterpreted and could be

wrong. Again I say that I think it is a poor and possibly dangerous idea to

seek and act on medical advice from the Internet. Anyone can say on the

Internet that he or she is a doctor.
