OUCH!!!! Big time. Dang your almost as old as I am. I'm almost 52 too. :-) It is kind of difficult for us to help you with this one as we don't know how the breaks are lined up. Depending on how the bones broke (or fractured) will dictate whether you have surgery or not. If they are just simple fractures and are lined up just fine then no problem. But like Suzi mentioned you don't want them to heal out of alignment. If you do have to have your foot operated on we can assist you in getting back on your feet ASAP. ;-) I can tell you that you will not be dancing around any time soon nor walking for a while, maybe on crutches only. Several things you can do right now that will help your body are: Increase your intake of Vitamin C, make sure you are taking a very good B complex supplement, eat lots of fresh raw green leafy vegetables or juice em. Eat lots of fresh raw fruits. These will give your body lots of good organic minerals that it can use to help repair damaged tissues. Do drink lots of fresh pure water, fresh vegetables juices or freshly squeezed fruit juices. Getting some good organic calcium along with magnesium into your body will help along with Vit D or sunshine. Do stay off that foot and keep it elevated. Increase your intake of cayenne or ginger to help with circulation, garlic to help fight any infection. Other than these we shall wait to hear the outcome of the prognosis or diagnosis or whatever 'osis' they use. :-\ Peace be with you Kathy and again, welcome to the group. We are very glad your here and hope that you enjoy your time with us. -- Peace, love and light, Don Quai " Spirit sleeps in the mineral, breathes in the vegetable, dreams in the animal and wakes in man.
