Guest guest
Sheri, I just wanted to tell you that I just figured out my daughter goes nuts on Soy protein too...not lecithin but protein. We had a horrible weekend because of it too!!! The thing is, my daughter gets the extract injections for it but its not working for soy...you may find that interesting. I have heard that soy is a lot like gluten and casein in its structure so maybe its a different issue altogether. Anyway your input really helped me put the pieces of the puzzle together! Thanks!!!! - > > > > > > > > > Would someone mind explaining to me what the histamine and serotonin is supposed to do- or how it works? Guest guest
Soy protein is almost identical to bovine protein, so if your daughter has a problem with cow's milk (not lactose, but the casein), then that might explain the problem with soy. Guest guest
She is allergic to milk so that makes sense. Soy and dairy are a huge problem for . Guest guest
Keep in mind that I am not medical. I am just a parent and often my thoughts are just me thinking out loud. has extracts for soy but they made her agitated and regress in behavior. I stopped them and restarted as directed by my allergist and it happened again the second time. We are now going to make the trip back to Ohio to test again and to attempt to get the correct dose. Figuring this stuff out is not easy. I remember back when I would know that something triggered but had no clue what it was because it seemed like it was always something different. I am sure that more things will pop up and some will go away. At this point I am cautiously watching everything that I do and change with her. Thankfully my daughter loves raw veggies and once we took all these things away from her she is fine without them. Getting her off of them was tough. She seemed to crave the things she shouldn't have but now she will avoid things that she thinks are going to make her feel badly. Guest guest
Sheri, I think the milk and soy thing is different for every child. could do soy, but not milk. Now that he is better, he doesn't react to either, but he still doesn't do much milk. Marcia Hinds
