estrogen patches from the internet-are they legit?

Hi All

I used to post here a while back. I have thyroid/adrenal/cfs type issues. I am

pre-meno, but I take estriol cream because it really helps my fatigue and

inflammation issues, maybe doing something to my immune system. I can't take

progesterone because it makes me terribly ill, but I am okay on estriol and have

no weird side effects like break through bleeding. I am very careful to watch my

symptoms. I take a high dose of cytomel which has raised my SBHG which in turn

binds with a lot of the estrogen and reduces my free estradiol and estriol

levels. That is why I would like to supplement a little bit of estradiol with a

patch. I have ordered stuff like this from internet pharmacies before, but I can

not tell if this stuff is legit. Plus I saw something on 60 minutes about

internet drug fraud that showed how these fraudsters mimic the packaging really

well. It sort of freaked me out. What does everyone think about this? I have

given up on doctors trying to understand my hormone issues so I feel like I am

on my own, sadly.

I have one source I trust. I don't know about the rest but assume some are

legit and some are not. What form is your estriol? I use estriol cream on

my face because it is not absorbed systemically except through mucus

membranes. It does enhance the outer dermal layer.

Do you know why you don't tolerate progesterone? I don't either and haven't met

very many women like me.

Lori, I can't take P at all, as it makes me very ill. And too much E makes me very hyper and almost panicky.

I loved your Lyme post. I have also been somewhat into aryuveda, moreso many decades ago than now, and love the holistic attitude of seeing the body as a whole entity rather than its parts.

Hi Val

Thanks for the reply and sorry it took so long to get back here. I actually have

a good source for estriol cream but I need a good one for estradiol cream. Do

you know of one?

Thanks

Hi Lori

I am not sure why I don't tolerate progesterone. I have a strange CFS like

condition so my body reacts in strange ways to certain things, and progesterone

makes all the CFS symptoms waaayyyy worse. I have tried to read up on this stuff

but there is so much pro-progesterone literature and so much damning estrogens

that I just gave up. I just trust my body.
