Guest guest
Hey All, Here is a link to Dr. Klimas's lecture on XMRV. It is really top notch and some people at Phoenix Rising have already transcribed most of the lecture. http://cfsknowledgecenter.ning.com/video If you go to website and look through the threads, you can read the transcriptions to some of them. This is really great! http://forums.aboutmecfs.org/showthread.php?t=1714 All the best, Jill

Guest guest
Hi Marti! Yes, on my visit w/Dr Klimas in Miami last October, I worked with her physical therapist Connie. It seems like a very reasonable strategy. The big hurdle for me is the cognitive one... I just can't seem to get my brain organized to get me started on doing the exercises on any given day. But the exercise levels are based on physiological response, and so will avoid overdoing it. For me, the exercise parameters work out to 3-5 mins of exercise, 5 minutes of rest, repeat for a total of 3 cycles. Very do-able for me (if I can get myself to do it). Guest guest
Hi Marcia, Respond as your energy dictates...I don't want to wear you out with questions. I am looking for someone to do VO2 Max testing for me and I was wondering if there is a Poor Man's VO2 Max test or set of symptoms that we can say - " this is my guesstimate VO2 Max " . Did you have the VO2 Max test done and could you feel the transition between aerobic and anaerobic? I finally joined the YMCA as I had not been able to get moving on Dr. Levine's protocol (modified to lower level). Also, the ATP Fuel Supplement has been very helpful to get me started. Thanks for responding, Marti > > > > > > > What have been the experiences of people in this group with D- > > > > Ribose? Has it helped? What symptoms did it help? Guest guest
Hi Marti, See my answers below... It's late for me, so I'll keep it brief tonight. M. You wear a mask that captures and measures the content of your exhaled breath. No, I couldn't feel the transition between the two states. Mostly I was just pushing until Connie said, " stop, that's enough " . Maybe if I were more accustomed to exercising I could feel the difference, but I could only feel general sensations of " okay so far " and " now I'm really working hard " and " okay, now I'm about to crash " . > > I finally joined the YMCA as I had not been able to get moving on > Dr. Levine's protocol (modified to lower level).
