I think it might be a combination of both. The HHV6 and XMRV based on what I

have read and told stay dormant until something reactivates them. If

medications or vaccines are developed to avoid the HMRV virus from reactivating

or people from getting infected, then we would think that it would be less

likely for people to have a HHV6 viral reactivation.

Thanks,

Hi!

Do the kids have HHV6 infection or XMRV? Or, both?

Is XMRV herpes related? If not, why are the antivirals (Zovirax, etc.)

effective with the kids?

Will a XMRV blood test be given to our kids? How soon?

Thanks!

Some kids are dealing with HHV6, some with HSVs... it has rarely been about just

one virus, although HHV6 is one of the more ominous because it likes the

temporal lobes and contributes more to immune dysregulation, infecting natural

killer cells, etc, and being virtually undetectible after initial infection.

I have seen some children I have referred to Dr. Goldberg with very high measles

and mumps titers on top of the HHV6.

I called a number that I found using google and ordered 4 kits for myself, my

two kids and my sister-in-law. She took my name, tel# and address and told me

exactly what you just wrote. My mother already told me to put it on a charge

card when they do come up with the pricing. Here is the website that I searched:

http://www.prohealth.com/library/showarticle.cfm?libid=14921

I called the 775-351-1890 that was listed.

I don't know about you guys but I am flying high right now. I was so excited to

see that Kirby is already on the case. I can't wait until he starts using

the headlines for and not autism. What I can't believe is the lack of

understanding from some other parents that I have spoken with. Their eyes just

glaze over.

Theoretically, XMRV is a simplier retrovirus than HIV and should be easier to

treat from my understanding. Anti-virals should be easier to develop and I bet

they are busy doing that in Nevada.

What finally drove down our Viral tiers and the responding development was

acyclovir as well. What I found interesting was on several occasions we had diet

issues that caused allergic reactions (Hives appear on his legs when he gets

food dyes). Ever time we had allergic reaction to foods his viral tiers shot up

dramatically and this corresponded with regressive behaviors.

What I see is you need to have the immune system calm for the anti-viral to

work. I agree the dosage has to be pretty high as well.
