Guest guest
You all should see the amount of soda a bunch of teenage kids can drink in about 4 hours. Yesterday we had the birthday party for and my oldest son and thank god they have the same friends or esle my house would be in pieces. those kids went through about 4 12packs of soda. They all had so much fun. i pictures of and his girlfriend and she is so sweet and pretty. She even got on the phone and talkeed to my mother in vermont and that made my moms day. 's girfriend was finally able to make it but it was later in the day. She called me to say she was coming and not to tell jesse let it be a surprise. He was so happy to see her. All in All the boys had a really good party and it will be beautiful memories for me and i hope for them too. I certainly know that i over did it this weekend. I have to call my GYN. I passed a blood clot last night about 3 to 4 inches long and about 2 inches around. My boyfriend happen to be in the bathroom at the same time and it freaked him out and the pain in my abdomian is really bad. So i am going now to call my GYN and make an appointment. Just wanted to share the birthday party news with all of you.
Guest guest
, I'm glad your birthday party was fun. There's nothing wrong with soda at parties or having it in moderation. If my son had his choice, he would drink it constantly, so I don't buy it as much any more. Sorry the way it ended. I hope all is well with your gyn visit. a ----- Original Message ----- From: <12372101@...> < onelist> Sent: Monday, March 13, 2000 10:42 AM Subject: Re: [ ] Coke > From: 12372101@... > > You all should see the amount of soda a bunch of teenage kids can drink in > about 4 hours. Guest guest
Hi , My sons used to miss the fizzy drinks too but they are getting over it !! I am not sure about the soda stream and fizzy water although I dimly recollect that fizzy water wasn't great for really little ones. My boys drink cranberry juice diluted to about one in four . My youngest so is senitive to chemicals and additives and frankly if you put some of these into your search function you wouldn't be too keen either !!!. ( blimey its amazing that they have any teeth and any brain cells left !!) when we are out the boys drink sprite or 7 up ( not sure what it is called in the USA) and this is usually the least " chemed up " . Regards Deborah - > My two children consider themselves deprived because we don't have coca > cola in the house and they are only allowed to drink it very > occasionally. Guest guest
7 up in the can contains no additives or preservatives. 7 up or sprite from the fountain (like Mcdonalds) has sodium benzoate, which would be the least chemed up in that case. If you would like to learn more about going chemical/additive free you can go to http://www.feingold.org It is a special diet which eliminates bad stuff. Our family follows it. I do let them have whatever at bday parties or special occasions because I feel it is hard on a 4 and 2 yo to not be able to have what the others are having. Yesterday we went to the water park and I let my 4 yo son have root beer and pez candies (lots of bad stuff in both). Within an hour he had severe diarhea. His words were " I should not have eaten that bad food. " He is already learning what bad food can do! Guest guest
Hi Sara , I think we are on a similar road . Charlies probs are linked to the MMR so we are gluten , casein , MSG and sweetner free( to try and help his gut ) ...but once you take that lot out ( and realise that very little on the shelves in the supermarket dosen't have chemicals in ) I've ended up with no additives , preservatives etc as well ! I only let him have one 7 up in a blue moon ...and what's Macs ? ( lOL !!) Regards Deborah PS progress fantastic - more verbal , more sociable , no aggression , SLEEPS THROUGH THE NIGHT !!!. Hows Feingold working for you ? Regards Deborah Dore > > Hi , > > My sons used to miss the fizzy drinks too but they are getting > over > > it !! Coke has been around for how long? People didn't die of cancer, heart disease, sugar diabetes long ago. They died of other things but nothing like this today. What do you think is causing people to die of all these weird diseases? Children in their early teens, by the scores, have diabetes. Coke, candy, cooked juices... Moderation with lemon juice. Moderation with Coke...ummmm....I disagree.
Guest guest
, Now this story I believe. Lemon juice is very hard on tooth enamel. And so is ascorbic acid (vitamin C), which is why you should never use chewable vitamin C tablets. If you're going to take vitamin C please take it in the form of a coated tablet. Best wishes, Celeste in LA wrote: > But nobody sends around scary email about lemon juice! Nobody says lemon > juice is evil. Guest guest
It's 30 (thirty!) pounds of sugar....I listened to Ira Glass who did a great presentation on Public Broadcasting. It's a fun listen if you go to Public Radio. Joan I just read this article (http://news./s/yblog_thelookout/20110215/ts_yblog_thelookout/did-nprs-\ this-american-life-discover-cokes-secret-formula) about finding what some people think is the original Coke formula. Here is the recipe: The recipe: Fluid extract of Coca: 3 drams USP Citric acid: 3 oz Caffeine: 1 oz Sugar: 30 (unclear quantity) Water: 2.5 gal Lime juice: 2 pints, 1 quart Vanilla: 1 oz Caramel: 1.5 oz or more for color The secret 7X flavor (use 2 oz of flavor to 5 gals syrup): Alcohol: 8 oz Orange oil: 20 drops Lemon oil: 30 drops Nutmeg oil: 10 drops Coriander: 5 drops Neroli: 10 drops Cinnamon: 10 drops My question is what do people think 30 for sugar is? Ounces? What happens when all the ingedients are mixed together? Is it fermented and for how long? It does not have yeast so it would not seem to be fermented. Any input is appreciated. Thanks, GB
