Guest guest
My son started on Imunovir yesterday. The first thing I noticed in the package insert was, " What are Imunovir Tablets for? Imunovir tablets are used to treat patients with SSPE (subacute sclerosing panencephalitis), a rare complication of measles. " Could that rare complication be somehow transmitted through the MMR? What about for those who didn't get the MMR? Kristy
Guest guest
SSPE is essentially the measles in the brain. Yes, you can get from the vaccine an as far as I know you cannot acquire SSPE unless you have contaracted measles. Guest guest
That complication is probably too strong of an immune reaction in the brain causing serious inflammation - not actually something that can be transmitted.
