Guest guest
Ask your doctor who Sheri is? All I can say is she is worthy of trust, I know her personally for over 3yrs. From: Javan <javanfirkins@...> Subject: Sensitivities to Chemicals? Sheri? Anyone else? Date: Friday, February 12, 2010, 4:41 AM Â Hello everyone; I know I have brought this up on the board before but I figured I would ask about it again. I was diagnosed with the Neuroimmune issue-- I have the SPECT scan done, etc. I have over time found that what sets off my symptoms and difficulty the most is exposure to synthetic chemicals, fumes etc. I have food intolerances as well, and I have been in the treatment for a while but my doctor, Dr. recently recommended I look into an Environmental Allergist for treatment concerning my huge sensitivities to chemicals. Oddly enough my younger sister whom is 25 has the EXACT same issues as myself, 27 years old. More people in my family might have trouble like my older sister but it is unconfirmed at this point... AND ironically I was talking with a guy around my age in the Whittemore instittute study on XMRV published in science. He tested positive for the XMRV virus. I asked if he ever had problems being around chemicals/fumes, and his response was " I ABSOLUTELY DO!!! " Written just like that. I had talked to SHERI on here and she said her daughter has these issues and began seeing an Environmental Allergist, and gets P/N therapy which she said has brought the protocol to a whole new level. Anyone have any familiarity with Environmental Allergists? Has anyone heard from Sheri in. While? I have been getting concerned about her as I have written and left a message for her but havent heard anything... I wanted to ask her some further questions. Anyone else familiar with the treatments done with an Environmental Allergists? I appreciate all of your support very much everyone! I hope your children are doing very well. I plan to get my blood tested for the XMRV virus soon in the next couple months, and I will let everyone know what I find out. THANKS JASON F. Guest guest
I am still here. Trust me all that I know is that chemical sensitivity sure does exist and it causes huge issues for my daughter who is now being home schooled because she reacts to so many chemical factors. It is no wonder that they looked at me as if I had three heads when I said that she was ready to be placed in a regular classroom. Her autistic symptoms at school are far worse than at home. I would not have know that she was my child if I hadn't seen it with my own two eyes. I don't have all the answers as a matter of fact I don't feel like I have any of them. Still learning, I am taking back to the Environmental Allergist on Monday if anyone wants contact information about the Environmental Allergist that we see send me an e-mail off group. Sheri From: Javan <javanfirkins@ aol.com> Subject: Sensitivities to Chemicals? Guest guest
, You can check out this website... http://www.aaemonline.org/ I think it¹s the professional organization for environmental allergists. There¹s a spot at the top that says ³Find AAEM Member² that you can select your state from. Also check out .... search the groups there... maybe someone there can help you find a good doc in your area. Best of luck... figuring out personal triggers is so difficult. I feel like we¹re missing something especially with one son and I just don¹t know what it is. Caroline G.
Guest guest
This is somewhat related, I did get an email that a question I sent was pushed along to the researchers at the Whittemore Institute about XMRV, MCS, and possible treatments for chemically intolerant people. My daughter is highly chemically sensitive to the point where we can't even use medications for her. I believe that she is infected with XMRV, but how will we treat people who need treatment for XMRV when they cant even tolerate the meds? I will let you all know when they respond to my question. I am sure they receieve a lot of questions so it may take some time. As for environmental allergists, my daughter gets P/N treatment and it helped her tremendously with symptom management, but I think her immune issues won't go away until we treat whatever is kicking up her immune system, which may be XMRV. In the meantime we are doing everything we can to take care of any other causes of inflammation/aggravation to the immune system. - > > Hello everyone; > > I know I have brought this up on the board before but I figured I would ask about it again.
