Guest guest
Jim, now you have me confused because if oral mag " feeds the spiros " as you say, or it helps them build bio-films, as others say, oral mag is bad for Lymies and should be avoided. That is my take-away every time I see you tell a newbie about mag oil and that is the issue that I am trying to get to the bottom of. Again, please do not confuse my concern about oral mag with poor absorption or diarrhea as I have said (repeatedly) that that is not my concern - I am having no trouble with that. In fact, my bowels move much better when I take it and they aren't moving as well now that I have quit taking oral mag for the past few days. I was getting over 2/3 of my daily mag in my multi mineral supp which provides 500mg of oral mag per serving so that was not an insignificant amount and if it feeds the spiros I'm not comfortable taking it anymore. The info that you have provided includes a reference to Dr. Fry and I have seen others refer to him as a possible source for this claim, along with Dr. K, so I asked my doc to reach out to one or both of them but thought that he would have better luck with Dr. Fry because Dr. Fry markets his lab and services to docs and might be more inclined to take my doc's call. I don't know if my doc will try though. I've been using the Swanson brand oil, on your recommendation, for months (as a supplement to my oral mag) and I've never diluted it at all - I just deal with the burning and I notice that if I don't rotate the areas that I apply it to, the burning gets worse (as I sit here with burning thighs).
