Guest guest
I got shooting electric pains in my breasts and into my armpits when I was on WP progesterone so we get opposite responses apparently. Some of the former members of the group who had previously overcome some very serious kinds of breast cancer (Cougie, Lyn - see the archives) would say to apply Lugols iodine to problematic breasts. www.breastcancerchoices.org has loads of documentation. Some might say to apply P to painful breasts when using E. A member of the group did that and hers got worse. It really depends on the woman! You'll need to sort out your path on this. Do check out the website. The owners are devoted to gathering good documentation for women. For example they documented that removing lymph nodes was bad stuff long before it was announced in the news years later. The pain seems to be directly related to my use of bio-identical estrogen as whenever I have stopped dosing, the lumps and pain subside. Guest guest
Laurel and , This month Dr. Schwarzbein put me on 7 lines of static WP E estrogen and on day 18-19 (last Saturday and Sunday) I took 1/1/2 lines of WP P total during those 2 days and started having symptoms such as pain in left breast and armpit, difficulty sleeping, jittery, brain fog, heart palpitations, mental lapses, incontinence, some bloating, sore teeth, and craving chocolate (after being off it for a month). She had me stop the P completely and drop to 6 lines of E. I have felt better and am thrilled that I haven't had any vaginal burning this month!. I feel calmer, am sleeping better and no longer have dry eyes. However, I live with a lot of anxiety about the well-being of my body, such as possible breast cancer, bone loss, etc. I think that I am continuing to release stored P from 21 months on WP and I'm thinking that just about any symptom at this point is related to release of P. Today is day 23 and I am having lots of joint and muscle pain, especially my left shoulder, arm, armpit, and breast, right hip and calve muscle, little hair growth under my arms and legs, brain fog, and forgetfulness. I imagine this season will be difficult because I won't be able to control the amount of P releasing from my tissues. I pray I will have enough E to conteract it and keep me safe as I continue to lower it. Right now the thought of ever taking any P in any form again is just plain nauseating. Laurel, if you have a list of symptoms to look for signs of P overdose please share them. I know my doctor's goal is to get me on a low dose cycling bio-identical E patch and P where I will continue to have a menustral cycle. She believes in just supplementing what you have lost. She is also monitoring my cortisorl so I don't have adrenal failure while going through this process. I know eating differently has certainly helped. I have learned a lot and still have so much more to learn. Thanks!
