Guest guest Posted May 31, 2011 Report Share Posted May 31, 2011 Since I managed to get detoxed from the P, get my E down (about 1.5 mg a day), I've lost 31 pounds so far - importantly I'm increasing muscle. I'm very focused on healing leaky gut and autoimmune stuff. The focus on healilng leaky gut got me thinking about how P impacts that. There are so many different reactions to leaky gut and it reminded me of the variation we see in women who have too much P. I did a quick google search and found all kinds of crap sites selling P as the answer to everything including nearly the fast way to regain and maintain one's virginity. Geez! Anyway, here are some thoughts about being P overdosed. P relaxes everything including in my case, my gut. Once the gut is so open then lots of stuff leaks into the blood stream. It's possible that during the time when one is overdosed on P and trying to detox that a very clean and simple diet be followed. No grains, no nuts, no seeds, no dairy, no soy, low omega 6, the whole super strict paleo approach with grass fed. If one is a vegan, then there is a way to kinda do that with root veggies and really well fermented and high pressure cooked beans and definitely supplementing with algae DHA. I'm using a lot of coconut milk/oil too. If anyone comes across good references on gut permeability and progesterone I'd love to see it.
