Guest guest
- I am no expert on this subject but one in the same boat. You mentioned thyroid in your title but don't mention if you are on medication? My best advice would be to check out www.stopthethyroidmaddness.com and check out " those durn adrenals " . I know they highly recommend getting a 4-part saliva test for cortisol. Hope this helps you get a good start.. There are also yahoo groups on the subject- nth adrenals (Natural thyroid hormone) and Nth thyroid. Everyone has an opinion- just remember these people are not doctors. Research for yourself. Guest guest
I have the same problem. I just don't know. I hate to sound so pessimistic, but there just seems to be no healing of this problem. I have used the Holy Basil and Lemon Balm and that seems to help some, but just can't get a good nights sleep. And I have the adrenal, thyroid, and hormonal issue going on just as you. > > > > Hi > > this may be off topic for this group but since hormones can play an important role in all your glands and other hormones I thought I would post this and the fact that I was on the WP I thought maybe I could get some answers here. Guest guest
Nanci, it's that your diurnal cortisol rhythm is erratic " because of " adrenal fatigue. The WP (overdosing of e and p) can play havoc on adrenals. These are the saliva's you posted previously: > Cortisol Morning (saliva) 5.9 ng/ml range- 3.7-9.5 > Cortisol Noon (saliva) 2.2 ng/ml range- 1.2- 3.0 > Cortisol Evening (saliva) 5.7 ng.ml (HIGH) range- 0.6-1.9 > Cortisol Night (saliva) 1.2 (HIGH) range- 0.4-1.0 ng.ml It wouldn't be wise to attempt to lower evening and night time cortisol, because that would affect total daily cortisol. So, you might be making a proper amount of cortisol thru-out the day, but the 'scheduling' is amiss. In the book " Safe Uses of Cortisol " by McK Jefferies, he outlines how to get back into " rhythm " ...basically taking a specific amount of cortisol at specific times per day. Guest guest
Sounds like post WP hell. From my post WP experience and seeing many others', I don't think we can fully trust serum testing or even saliva testing (filtrate of the blood). ) The WP is a nuclear blast to the endocrine system and normal does NOT apply. Those tests are for more normal levels. There is no science to explain what the body does to such toxic levels. I talked to a molecular biologist who specialized in enzyme reactions and he said with those levels it was anyone's guess what the body would do to deal with it. Mostly he was just " jaw on the floor " stunned to see I lived through it, that I hadn't died. It seems urine testing may give the most information. I recommend reading this article VERY closely and pay attention to the numbers. http://rhythmicliving.org/?page_id=87 Bent Formby wrote it for us so we could wrap our minds around the time it might take it detox. Notice what SMALL amounts of P those women were using and then notice how long it took for the P to get out of their bodies. Notice they tracked with urine testing. Take this to your doctor and discuss the numbers. If it took those women so long to get the P out then how long does it take a women who did the astronomical dosing of the WP? It doesn't go through the liver in a few days. Bent Formby said there is only so much the liver can process in a day. For many of us we would use up the E very fast. As well, testing numbers can be all over the place. (Wilddingo) tested low for awhile and then a couple of months later (? check the archives) she had HUGE numbers for her progesterone. I'd be careful about getting advice from anyone who doesn't take into account what an insane amount of hormones have been taken into your body and possibly stored. People who are curious and cautious about their answers might be the better option for advice. I've been amazed at the range of experiences women have had going through detox. Cookie cutter solutions might simply be more trouble.
