Guest guest
Thank you for sending this link. What is really interesting is that Kirby has written some articles recently on the Huffington Post regarding this increase in the rate of autism (1:91) and the hep B vaccination. He cited a paper (although it is not peer reviewed and it involves the same anti-vaccination researchers) in which the rate of autism is increased in boys that have taken the Hep B vaccination. He also mentions that the rate of autism is actually lower for the children between the ages of 3-7 but is not sure if that is because there may be more out there that have not been diagnosed. For me personally, I thought thimersol had no link because I had always heard that the rate of autism is still increasing but I am starting to think otherwise. Perhaps there is still no link but I am curious if parents are still giving the babies hep B at birth. I know so many parents now that are still pro-vaccination but are waiting to give the Hep B until the children are much older. Please see his articles. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-kirby All the best, Jill From: Bill klimas <klimas_bill@...> Subject: Re: Did an article get published yet? Guest guest
The article talks about retroviruses, but herpes and measles are not considered retroviruses. I know this article is very relevant to our children, but would this article prove that our children are medically ill? JR retroviruses and herpes viruses http://www.hopkins-hivguide.org/q_a/patient/basic_science/retroviruses_and_herpe\ s_viruses.html?contentInstanceId=389238 & siteId=7151 Posted on Apr 15, 2006 what is the difference between a retrovirus and a herpes virus? i know it's something to do with rna, but are there other, larger differences between the two types? On Apr 15, 2006 E. Gallant, M.D., M.P.H. replied: A retrovirus is an virus whose genetic material is composed of RNA, which is " reverse transcribed " (turned into DNA) by the viral reverse transcriptase enzyme. (Normal transcription involves turning DNA into RNA.) The viral DNA can then be incorporated into the host (human) DNA by the viral integrase enzyme. Herpesviruses are not retroviruses, nor are they RNA viruses; they're DNA viruses. Like retroviruses, they can establish latency within the nucleus of the host cell. From: jlhank80@... Guest guest
What if the herpes and measles became opportunistic because of this XMRV...that is what I am thinking because if you read the article it says that it causes immune system dysfunction!!! I am jumping out of my chair right now and I hope its not for nothing!!! Guest guest
We should all be jumping out our chairs. Even if they do not connect this to Autism immediately the breakthrough antivirals, immune modulators and vaccines being developed to treat CFS can be used the heal our kids. Still a ways off but a quantum leap forward. Bill From: <jlhank80@...> Subject: Re: Did an article get published yet? Guest guest
I'm jumping! And haven't studies already been done on children with AIDS, trying to determine if they should be on anti-retroviral therapy? And that study showed a resolution of their autistic symptoms? I'll have to look for that one again... So I think the antiretrovirals have at least been tested on children, so if they prove effective in treating CFS adults, then maybe it wouldn't take as long to get it to our kids? Just wondering, ________________________________ From: Bill klimas <klimas_bill@...> Sent: Fri, October 9, 2009 11:41:13 AM Subject: Re: Re: Did an article get published yet? Guest guest
How soon meds like that become indicated and available will depend on whether or not they have already been used on some current CFS patients (in experimental trials), if they were effective against the virus, etc. It wouldn't surprise me if some of the AIDS antivirals have been given to some patients already to see how they would respond. Exciting! ________________________________ From: <jlhank80@...> Sent: Fri, October 9, 2009 10:45:45 AM Subject: Re: Did an article get published yet? This article is awesome...I have been sharing it. Guest guest
All of this is an offshoot of the early AIDS research. The Acyclovir was developed as a direct response to the AIDS epidemic. The protocol we are on is the same as Dr K uses for her CFS clients but all of her early research was on AIDS in Miami. The realization that CFS was viral happened as an AIDS Clinician and immunologist. Any drug trail will start with CFS patients but if approved they will be used by other progressive Docs.
