, Check out Dr Vliet's book "Screaming to be heard"..there is an case study in her book that sounded identical to your story, and how she treated her. The woman now is doing great. Food for thought!TerriTo: rhythmicliving Sent: Saturday, October 22, 2011 10:40 AMSubject: Re: New here - looking for some direction

Hi Terri,

Thanks for replying. Yes I did bleed heavily, close to dying actually.

I am glad my low iron days are over!

I am not convinced that my E is high, my cycle currently is 30 to 31 days, it has been for quite some time, and I look to some of my symptoms, dry eyes, dry itchy skin, mild hot flashes, mild night sweats etc.

I didn't post my thyroid labs. And yes thyroid can be one of the hardest to get help with. I suffered for many years starting at the age of 24, it took 4+ years and almost going into a myxedema coma (its a loss of brain function as a result of severe, longstanding low level of thyroid hormone) to get help for my low thyroid. By bio-identical thyroid are you referring to Amour Thyroid/desiccated thyroid? If you are than yes I am familiar with it. I am on T3 only because of a reverse t3 issue and will be switching back to desiccated when the time is right.

I do plan on starting E on day 1 of my cycle and would like some info/guidance on rhythmic dosing of E.

range..too outdated IMHO.

> Many very sick years later, about 2009 I got the root of the problem, extremely low iron, synthetic T4 thyroid meds, and bad adrenals. It's taken a few years (why does it take so long, we need more cooperative doctors!) my low iron was fixed with IV iron, started on hydrocortisone 19 weeks ago and have been on T3 for 1 year now to get rid of reverse T3 and looking forward to switching back to desiccated thyroid soon.
