Guest guest
Helen, when I read your post this morning I almost fell out of my chair. 100 ml of progesterone a day is sky high. Compare it to the 10 ml of compounded progesterone Dr. Swarzbein has me using morning and night on day 15-28ish and you can see. Oral progesterone doesn't work well. It has to go through the liver because it's going into your digestive track. Transdermal creams don't work well either because you get a bolus (big) dose when you put it on and then it tapers throughout the day until you put it on again at night. Same with transdermal cream estrodial. Dr. Schwarzbein did a 6 hour presentation on Saturday that blew the audience away. Common sense, facts, studies, and more common sense. She is a brilliant endocrinologist. If you're working with a gyn, a GP, or a nurse practitioner, they are NOT trained in hormones and don't have a clue what they are doing (at least most don't). From what I read, and what I'm experiencing getting off the wiley protocol, it takes a while to get excess P out of our systems. You need to find an endo who is smart...preferably one who has a ton of experience treating menopause, but not one who just treats the symptoms. If you want more info, email me directly.beth
