Follow-up on Introduction

Thanks Ladies for the replies. My cancer was estrogen/progesterone positive in

2007. Arimidex was recommended that time but I had not taken it. The recent

biopsy report does not state if it's estrogen positive or not. It says:

" Invasive ductal carcinoma, no special type " . I find this really strange.

Basically, I do not have enough info to decide on the type of surgery I should

go for.

Yes, I am aware of the WHI study on the beneficial effect of the Premarin only

therapy. I still have my uterus, therefore, need to take some progesterone with

the estrogel if I decide to stay with the hormones. If Estro-Rhythm is as good

as they say, I would be really happy to try it. I never came across anybody who

took Estro-rhythm. I guess it does not do too much for osteoporosis, brain

functions and anti-aging in general. Might be good for flashes.

Yes, you are right, the overdose of progesterone caused my symptoms and also

killed my libido completely. When I was on Progesterone only, I was so numb, I

could not feel anything from the waist down. It was brutal, yet the progesterone

mania still is in its renaissance stage in Toronto.

I still do not understand what is the science behind continuous combined BHRT

where estrogen is given in homeopathic doses with high doses of progesterone.

This is a practice followed by most doctors here.

I read the books I mentioned, yet I do not remember the studies about the safety

of 17 B estradiol.

Anyway, I firmly believe that balanced hormones save lives. Do you think I could

use the progesterone cream, I have, vaginally or use prometrium instead?

I am going to contact Dr. Schwarzbein but I still need a doctor here. I doubt I

find one, so I have to look into getting the hormones without prescription and

go for blood tests to the Naturopathic Clinic. Costs $250 for estradiol and

progesterone. How to find a Pharmacy where I can get these hormones without a

prescription, I do not know. They probably exist somewhere, I saw on the net

people talking about them, not mentioning the names and locations though.
