Guest guest
One option I have used to provoke a bleed when I don't want to do P for too long (it depresses me and I start getting low immune - colds, etc) is to get the over the counter morning after pill, Plan B. I'll do Prometrium for a few days and or do vaginal as well and when I notice I'm not going to get anywhere near 14 days (sometime I start getting sick at 7 days for example) then I'll take Plan B and then stop everything. This usually provokes a good bleed. The idea I'm working with is to get a peak and then drop it all fast to flip switches. Sometimes I fast drop everything including the E. If I do a fast drop I can go several days without E. So I do use P, but not every month. It's about 3 or 4 months. If I could tolerate the P every month I'd do it, but I'm not there yet. Slowly, slowly... working my way along. One thing that helps is that I feel empowered by having this option with HRT rather than moaning that getting older is hard. I've focused on it, made it a serious project and then I get in a state of flow about figuring it out. We are all going to die so might as well gleefully rock this time we have left and make some hard choices about " pound the P " or not. I'm so freaking thrilled that I get to hold my own ovaries - so to speak. What a time we live in! No brittle bones like my grandmothers had.
