Guest guest
I am feeling horrible and all I know is that the WP sent my body into adrenal shock and made me hypo. I did a huge disservice to myself as I did NOT wean off the WP creams but just stopped. Now I am in adrenal fatigue with hypothyroidism and feeling just awful with high and low b/p palpitations, always cold, faint and weak, swelling around my eyes, dizzy, insomnia, inner shaking and lots of anxiety and a ton of other symptoms. What can I do now? I belong to a support group dealing with AF and thyroid and seeing an osteopath now but waiting for all my blood work results (couldn’t even get to the hospital easily as I am feeling so poorly) A gyno lowered the doses to more reasonable amounts but no matter how little P/E I was on, just made me sick. I became toxic to P and now I am non functional and feel like I am dying. Please....I need some advice. Thanks so much Nanci
Guest guest
HI Nanci, Just a thought, have you tried going back up on the E? Then if you get some sort of stability, you can start weaning. You might want to chat with your dr about this. (for what that is worth, I know) I’m still stuck at 8mgs a day and should use more. Sometimes, when I feel really weak and shaky, I use a dab of over the counter cortisone cream. I will do it a couple of times in the day. 7amish and noonish. I rub on my shins or wrist. Not saying this will help but that’s what I’ve done in the past for myself. I discovered this one day when I was a little itchy from a bug bite and put it on, and realized I felt a little better overall for a while. Trust me, I know where you are in this. I’m still dealing with the ramifications of the WP after 6 yrs. Hang in there! Liz I am feeling horrible and all I know is that the WP sent my body into adrenal shock and made me hypo. Guest guest
Nanci, you sound like me but I was never on Wiley. I have late-stage Lyme disease. Guest guest
I too went hypothyroid (Hashi's) with adrenal fatigue without ever going near the WP. Five years later I've been diagnosed with lyme and several other tick infections. I'm not saying WP didn't create problems but not necessarily the whole enchilada either. Good luck! I spent the last 5 years healing my thyroid/adrenals while going through menopause and now dealing with and healing lyme. I wonder if it wasn't the lyme that was my original problem and all the rest was a result of it. j To: rhythmicliving From: val@...Date: Mon, 13 Jun 2011 12:29:06 -0600Subject: RE: Re: estrogen patches- HELP!!! Guest guest
For me I had to use E to get beyond. Nanci, I suggest a very close reading of Donati's reports about the help she is getting from Dr. Schwartzbein. Guest guest
Make sure you get excellent nutrition and I mean things like http://perfecthealthdiet.com/And this guy's podcasts on the gut-brain axis, autoimmune, and a few of the others might be helpful to make sure you are getting the nutrition you need to get through this.
