Guest guest
beth, I hope things have settled down a bit. A thought about you using the HC. Did you have your adrenals checked first? I ask this because when I got hit bad on the WP with the anxiety and all the rest of the stuff, I had my adrenals checked via Saliva. I was off the charts high on all 4 time slots. I was told prior to testing, that I should take HC. I didn’t because I was scared of it. After 6 months of the high cortisol, my adrenals tanked bad and I was on the verge of complete adrenal burn out. At that time I remember my Blood Sugar being so low after I tanked, all the time which then continued the anxiety process. I did not go on HC then either as I was still scared of it and by then I was on all the meds and I didn’t know what the interactions would be. Since then I”ve tested many times and I’ve never been super high nor super low. My adrenals are still not good but I’m not in the extremes. Now if I put a dab of cream on, it helps. I have yet to try it for any length of time. Maybe the reason why the HC is keeping you awake is because you don’t need it? I find Saliva testing seems pretty accurate for adrenals. And you can do that on your own. Liz Hi ..beth Donati here. This is all so scary familiar it puts tears in my eyes. Why we (women) are having to deal with all of this when our older years should be filled with such joy and wisdom, I will never know. All I can think is that we're being shown how important it is to 1) shut Susie Wiley down and 2) to teach the younger women what NOT the do. All of your symptoms, the shakiness, weakness, not sleeping, and more (restless legs and pains everywhere off and on) see to be related to the imbalance and toxic levels of E/P. And I don't mean to insinuate your osteo doesn't have a clue, but he/she isn't an endo so please be careful with their suggestions. The note (from ?) about the hydrocortisone cream was interesting. I have been taking 1/4 tablet of HC for a couple of weeks and I think it keeps me awake. I upped the dose to 1/2 yesterday and basically never went to sleep much last night. The lack of sleep is the worst part for me. All I want is off all of it and to go back and feel like I did 5 years ago:-(... Hugs to you all...beth
Guest guest
"I" personally feel that there is no magic bullet for low adrenal function..except more sleep. I have taken supplements to support my adrenals as I was of the belief that that should be corrected first. I believe getting one's Estradiol levels high enough..and everyBODY IS different, is key to solving all these problems that are ALL directly the result of low Estradiol levels in both pre, and post-menopausal women. For ME, I don't think that I am deficient in P..I WAS on "empty" with E when I started all this 2 1/2 yrs ago..I was also out of T. My thyroid levels were/are still fine. I'm just having MY problems with P..again. Minor hormones(sex hormones) leave our bodies first..THEN the major hormones take the hit..and we will DIE without them. IMVHO..replacing sex hormones first, will only support our major hormones..just common sense to ME. I am NOT an expert by ANY means, this is just my VERY humble opinion. I am wondering what is with Wiley's P that everyone(almost)is having the side effects with????? I do know that creams, or gels will absorb into the body more so that oral P..I think that for me(I say this repeatedly because everyone's body IS different!)the WP "P", is waaayyy too much, AND that it's sticking around too long!!Terri Hi ..beth Donati here. Guest guest
I think the sleep thing is big too. Yes, WP P is too much. Not just too much - beyond - out there beyond the moon. Remember that old 70's TV show with opening with the martial arts guy that walked on rice paper and left no footprint? What was that show? Anyone remember? If I knew I could likely find the opening bit on youtube. For some reason I think HRT needs to be used at such low doses that we get the benefit without the footprint showing up all over the damn place. Enter with the awareness, respect and silence that someone uses when walking on rice paper. Quietly, with respect. Guest guest
Ha Ha! Nice! Thank Sam. With that I found the bit. But not with the master's words. )-: Yah, you showed up on RL when the entire group was tumbling through the detox together. I think it was then? Were you doing BHRT before you got here or did you come in and see the mass disaster unfold before you? I've always thought RL was a beacon to let women know to go slow go low. Guest guest
I think I might have joined the group some time in early or mid 2005. I had been back taking hormones for a few months after being on none for over a decade. I wanted to learn about the WP, and learn I did, which is why I never went on it. ...walking on rice paper is good. Sam ===== > Ha Ha! Nice!
